Sportsnet Presents Exclusive Interviews with Chris Pronger and Donald Fehr, Tonight on Connected and Hockey Central

It’s been more than 15 months since Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger has played in an NHL game as a result of a severe eye injury and post-concussion symptoms. Tonight, Pronger finally breaks his silence regarding his potential career-ending injury in an exclusive interview with Dan Murphy. Sportsnet presents the first of a two-part, in-depth interview with Pronger starting tonight on Connected at 6 p.m. local time on Sportsnet East, Ontario and Pacific and at 7:30 p.m. MT on Sportsnet West and on all editions of Hockey Central.

Viewers will get a rare look into Pronger’s world, as the usually private Stanley Cup champion and two-time Olympic Games gold medallist gives Murphy unrestricted access into his rehabilitation and his new life away from the game. During the two-part interview, Pronger talks about the dark days of recovery, the fearsome effects of his wounded eye, and how this might be the end of his NHL career.

Part two of the Pronger interview will air tomorrow (Thursday, March 7) on Connected at 6 p.m. local time on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific as well as on all editions of Hockey Central. For a sneak peak at the exclusive interview, click here.

Sportsnet will also air an exclusive interview with NHLPA Executive Director Donald Fehr tonight on all editions of Connected and Hockey Central, beginning with Connected at 6 p.m. local time on Sportsnet East, Ontario and Pacific and at 7:30 p.m. MT on Sportsnet West. In his first sit-down interview since the NHL lockout ended – and ahead of his head table appearance at the 62nd Annual Rogers Conn Smythe Sports Celebrities Dinner & Auction tomorrow in Toronto – Fehr speaks candidly with Christine Simpson about NHL realignment, the potential of players going to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, his future as the head of the NHLPA, and more.
