Global Announces Fall Premiere Dates

Ready? Let’s Go! Global gears up for another powerful fall with the most compelling and buzz-worthy new and returning series this season, igniting its primetime schedule this September and October with more star power and groundbreaking storytelling.

Global kicks off fall with a brand-new addition to the primetime lineup adding the buzzed about three-part series The Case Of: JonBenét, a docu-thriller that re-examines the unsolved JonBenét Ramsey murder 20 years later, premiering on Sunday, September 18. The series reunites the original investigators in the case with new experts, and together, they take a hard look at the mysterious case that captivated the world.

 

The fall schedule continues to unfold with Ted Danson and Kristen Bell delighting audiences in the heavenly new comedy The Good Place, premiering with back-to-back episodes on Monday, September 19, followed by return of comedy king Kevin James in the new series Kevin Can Wait. NCIS alum Michael Weatherly returns to the Network on Tuesday, September 20 as the iconoclastic Dr. Jason Bull in the highly anticipated drama Bull. Global’s premiere week continues with one of fall’s most sought-after new dramas Pitch joining the schedule on Thursday, September 22, starring Montreal native Kylie Bunbury as the first woman to play Major League Baseball. Plus, Friday night welcomes the reimagining of the iconic action series MacGyver, starring Lucas Till, premiering Friday, September 23.

 

The fall lineup continues to ignite adventure, laughter, and drama as new premieres carry on into October. The thrilling new time travel adventure series Timeless, starring Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett premieres on Monday, October 3. Global adds two new laugh out loud comedies to its primetime schedule, with Man With a Plan starring Matt LeBlanc premiering Monday, October 24, and The Great Indoors starring Joel McHale joining the lineup later that week onThursday, October 27.  Then, unique medical drama Pure Genius, from the executive producer of Parenthood and Friday Night Lights and starring Dermot Mulroney, rounds out the schedule on Thursday, October 27.

Complementing Global’s robust slate of new series are long-standing fan favourite hits including the NCIS franchise with NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans both premieringTuesday, September 20, followed by the premiere of NCIS: LA the next month on Sunday, October 2. Millennials compete against Gen Xers when reality champSurvivor premieres on Wednesday, September 21, and “blacklisters” rejoice as Raymond Reddington returns on The Blacklist beginning Thursday, September 22.Global’s Chicago franchise sets the fall schedule ablaze, beginning with Chicago PD on Wednesday, September 21, and Chicago Med on Thursday, September 22, followed by Chicago Fire on Monday, October 10. Plus Friday night favourite Hawaii Five-0 takes audiences into the weekend beginning Friday, September 23, thenSunday night staples Madam Secretary and Elementary round out the week premiering on Sunday, October 2.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert kicks off late night on Global weeknights at 11:35 pm, starting on Tuesday, September 6. Then it’s over to television’s #1 late night show Saturday Night Live with new episodes joining the schedule later this fall.
