Gusto Serves Up Two Celebrity Chefs this October with the Series Premieres of Jamie Oliver’s JAMIE COOKS ITALY and Matty Matheson’s IT’S SUPPERTIME!

Gusto gets stuffed this October with a feast of new food programming featuring the world’s most-celebrated chefs. Airing exclusively in Canada on Gusto, culinary superstar Jamie Oliver debuts his new cooking series JAMIE COOKS ITALY, Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning Oct. 24. As well, over-the-top celebrity chef Matty Matheson makes his Gusto debut with VICE’s IT’S SUPPERTIME! airing with two back-to-back episodes each week beginning Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. ET.

In the new, eight-episode series JAMIE COOKS ITALY, Oliver seeks out the best home-cooked Italian recipes alongside the mammas and nonnas of Italy. In each episode, Oliver and his best friend Gennaro Contaldo explore recipes that have been passed down through generations, putting their own twist on Italy’s most delicious dishes.

Adventurous Saint John, N.B., chef Matty Matheson comes to Gusto with IT’S SUPPERTIME!, delivering a unique take on traditional meals. The series premiere features Matheson’s unique recipe for cheesy garlic bread.

Filmed throughout Italy, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver searches for the best home-cooked Italian dishes to bring into viewers homes. Alongside his mentor and best friend Gennaro Contaldo, the duo travel from breathtaking Basilicata to Naples and beyond to meet the best chefs of Italian dishes: the mammas and nonnas. Oliver learns recipes that have been passed down through generations and he is persistent to learn all their kitchen secrets. Oliver finds a way to put his own twist on Italy’s most delicious home-cooked dishes, learning recipes from cannolis, spaghetti, hand-crafted pasta, seafood stew, and stuffed squid.

IT’S SUPPERTIME! – Fridays at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET, beginning Oct. 19
As part of the recently announced VICE partnership, IT’S SUPPERTIME! follows party animal-turned-chef Matheson as he puts his twist on tasty classic home-cooked meals. From spaghetti and meatballs, to Caesar salad and cheesy garlic bread, Matheson’s personality and charisma draws in viewers, captivating an audience with both laughter and cooking tips. Matheson’s goal is to turn classic meals into everyone’s new favourite with his simple steps.
