Miley Cyrus To Co-Host And Perform at The 2010 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS, Live Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET

MuchMusic recruits Miley Cyrus to help bring the party to the fans! Announced today, the chart-topping superstar is confirmed to co-host and perform at the 2010 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. The über-talented, über-successful, and über-sought-after 17-year-old has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and continues to capture the ears and eyes of the world with her distinct voice and exploding career. The 2010 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS airs Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET live from MuchMusic HQ in Toronto.

In December 2007, Cyrus’ first trip to MuchMusic sent fans at home and in the MUCHONDEMAND audience into decibel leveling chaos, leaving them wanting more of the singer/songwriter/actress.

Cyrus is the youngest person in history to have a #1 album, #1 book and #1 movie all at the same time. In December 2009, she played five shows at the O2 in London breaking all-time attendance and merchandise records; it was her first time touring the UK.

Cyrus broke onto the scene with her hit television series HANNAH MONTANA, available in more than 150 different countries and 27 languages. Since then, her status and schedule have soared. In 2009, Cyrus hit #1 in the U.S. with “Party in the USA” on the Billboard 200, and #1 with “The Climb” on the HHHot AC chart.

“I’m so excited to co-host the MuchMusic Video Awards,” said Miley Cyrus.”I can’t wait to get back to Canada and perform for all of my fans. It’s going to be an awesome night!”

“Miley Cyrus is a multi-media superstar, plain and simple,“ said Sheila Sullivan, Executive Producer, 2010 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. “Music, movies, television, she’s conquered it all. We know she is going to be ecstatic by the enthusiasm and devotion of the MMVAs fans. After all, it is, the party of the year!”
