Throughout the period of July 2 – 11, Fairchild TV will also produce a World Cup highlight program, “World Cup Highlights”, airing daily during prime time. In the program, Edmond Tse, the President of the Chinese Soccer Association in Toronto and Michael Fung, Fairchild TV news/sports reporter, will review daily World Cup developments and game results with in-depth analyses and reports.

Soccer fanatics who are confident about FIFA World Cup, its history and traditions, can attempt to challenge a trivia session, running on Fairchild TV on weekdays from June 14 through to July 2. A total of 3 official match balls, Jabulani, will be awarded to those who correctly answered the trivia questions.

Fairchild TV and Talentvision, the respective Cantonese and Mandarin TV programming distributors, are divisions of the Fairchild Media Group. This is its fourth time to bring live World Cup games to Canadian Chinese audiences, as they are long-standing Chinese specialty television programming services, serving Canadian Chinese viewers via cable and satellite.
