Yesterday, the Fairchild TV studio was filled with excitement as it broadcasts the opening and the first World Cup soccer game live from South Africa for Chinese Canadian audiences. In addition, Cantonese and Mandarin speaking Canadians will also have the privilege of watching the final 8 World Cup games live with commentaries in their own languages in the following times and dates:

Renowned soccer hosts, including Chun Ming POON and Edcon YAU, as well as former soccer player/commentator, Ivan Wuh, will once again sure to bring to our audiences and soccer lovers live game enjoyment.
Throughout the period of July 2 – 11, Fairchild TV will also produce a World Cup highlight program, “World Cup Highlights”, airing daily during prime time. In the program, Edmond Tse, the President of the Chinese Soccer Association in Toronto and Michael Fung, Fairchild TV news/sports reporter, will review daily World Cup developments and game results with in-depth analyses and reports.
Soccer fanatics who are confident about FIFA World Cup, its history and traditions, can attempt to challenge a trivia session, running on Fairchild TV on weekdays from June 14 through to July 2. A total of 3 official match balls, Jabulani, will be awarded to those who correctly answered the trivia questions.
