CTV Calgary anchor/co-producer Barb Higgins announced her resignation last thursday and signed off for the final time on the CTV NEWS @ 6.
“I have the warmest feelings for everyone at CTV, “said Higgins. “It’s been a real honour being a part of such a strong team.”
Higgins started delivering Calgary’s news in 1989 after having worked in all four western provinces. During her broadcasting career, Higgins has won numerous awards and has also been recognized for her community involvement.
“Every day that Barb has been on the desk for CTV, she has used her journalistic skills to enhance our audience’s understanding of each and every story,” said Kelly Johnston, CTV Calgary Director of News and Public Affairs. “Her passion for news and story telling has been inspiring. We will miss her and wish her well in all of her future endeavors.”
