The fall season is here! More channels will shuffle their programming grid to offer you what they think is the best damn schedule, period. Let’s take a look at the schedule grids that start off this week with an analysis of their primetime programming grid.
Here’s a list of channels where the fall schedule becomes effective during the week of September 6th.

Cosmopolitan TV
Cosmo TV’s schedule won’t change much this fall, it still airs Sex and The City (both edited and unedited versions) as well as The Rachel Zoe Project (Mon @ 8pm), Falcon Beach (Tue @ 9pm) followed by Charmed at 10pm. Cosmo Tv also airs Men in Trees, Thursdays @ 9pm followed by Lipstick Jungle at 10pm. The channel also offers a new magazine-style Tv show named Oh So Cosmo, premiering Saturday, September 11th @ 8:30pm.
CTS (Alberta & Ontario)
CTS changed most of its primetime programming compared to fall 2009. One of the very few shows remaining is 100 Huntley Street weekdays @ 9pm. At 8pm, The Cosby Show is followed by various sitcoms at 8:30pm (Family Ties, Mad About You, Laverne & Shirley, Fresh Prince). At 10pm, Life Today with James & Betty Robison followed by This Is Your Day with Benny Hinn at 10:30pm. On week-ends, multicultural programming takes center stage.
Discovery Health
Discovery Health has changed its schedule from last fall with a simpler schedule. From monday to thursday, DHC Shocking Stories airs at 8pm, followed by Say no To The Knife at 9pm and ending with Intervention at 10pm. Vanity Insanity occupies the 8pm timeslot on fridays. On week-ends, weight loss shows like X-Weighted (sat) and Last 10 pounds bootcamp (sun) air at 8pm. More Intervention air sundays at 9pm and 10pm.
eqhd
This channel was recently referred as Equator HD. Most of its programming are short documentaries. Weeknights at 8pm, you can see various documentaries. At 9pm, movies air on tuesdays, fridays and saturdays. For the rest of the week, more specials air at 9pm and 10pm. On sundays, see 2 episodes of IMAX docs at 9pm.
Family Channel
New offerings on Family Channel’s primetime schedule include Majority Rules (weeknights @ 9pm except on fridays) and Connor Undercover (fridays @ 9:30pm. The rest of friday’s schedule are movies starting at 7pm and 10pm. Movies also air week-ends at 9pm. For the rest of the weekdays, The Suite Life On Deck airs at 8pm followed by I’m in the Band at 8:30pm. At 9:30pm, The Latest Buzz precedes Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide airing at 10pm, followed by Disney Aaron Stone at 10:30pm.
HGTV
As in previous fall season, HGTV’s schedule offers a lot of programs, airing different shows on weeknights between 8pm and 10pm. Of course, popular series House Hunters and House Hunter International remain at 10pm and 10:30pm weekdays. New offerings from HGTV are My First Sale (Mon @ 8:30pm), Home to Keep (Tue @ 8pm), Battle of the Block (Tue @ 9pm), Selling New York (Wed @ 9pm) and Tough as Nails (Thu @ 9:30pm). Most of those shows repeat on saturday and sunday. The rest of the schedule has sure values like My First Place (Mon @ 8pm), Property Virgins (Wed @ 8pm), Holmes Inspections (Thu @ 8pm) and Location, Location, Location (Fri @ 8:30pm and 9pm).
MTV Canada
MTV Canada has a new addition to its schedule: Worlds of Jens, mondays @ 10pm and fridays @ 9pm and 9:30pm. The rest are returning shows likw CRIBS (almost everyday @ 8pm) followed by Parental Control. At 9pm and 10pm on weeknights, Jersey Shore (Mon @ 9pm, Thu @ 9pm and 10pm), My Life As Liz (tue @ 10pm), 16 & Pregnant (wed @ 10pm) and Real World: New Orleans (wed @ 9pm). fills the timeslots. On week-ends, CRIBS and MTV News and MTV Live fill most of the timeslots.
MuchLOUD
MuchLOUD has simplified its scheduling by removing concerts and specials from its schedule. So every night, LOUD offers VintageLoud Videoflow at 8pm, LoudVideoFlow at 8:30pm, LoudTested at 9:30pm followed by LoudDoubleShot Videoflow at 10pm.
MuchMusic
MuchMusic has a great selection of teen shows like Gossip Girl (Mon @ 8pm & 9pm), Make It or Break It (Wed @ 8pm & Thu @ 9pm), One Tree Hill (Wed @ 9pm & Thu @ 8pm), Hellcats (Fri @ 8pm) and The Vampire Dairies (Fri @ 9pm). So You Think You Can Dance fills tuesdays. Movies air fridays @ 10pm and on saturdays @ 8pm. The Much Music Countdown takes over saturdays @ 10pm.
MuchVibe
The changes made to Vibe’s schedule are similar to what happened to LOUD. They removed concerts and specials that aired at 9pm and replaced it with VibeRelated Videoflow. At 8pm, its VintageVibeVideoflow and at 10pm, its Vibe 2 Vibe Videoflow. This is the schedule that airs seven days a week.
Mystery
Mystery TV’s fall schedule has remained pretty much the same for the last four years airing a movie at 7pm followed by To Serve and To Protect at 9pm on weeknights. Thankfully, more variety is offered at 10pm with Best Legends (Mon), The Real Docs (tue), Rookie Blue (wed), the Will (thu) and the Haven (fri). On week-ends, repeats of the currewnt season of House air at 8pm on saturdays and CSI on sundays. At 9pm, more movies.
Nickelodeon
Very little change was made to the schedule compared to last fall. The weeknight schedule is filled with Rugrats (8pm & 8:30pm), Angry Beavers (9pm), Modern Life (9:30pm) and Catdog (10m & 10:30pm).
OasisHD
As it is the case with eqhd above, Oasis HD airs mostly documentaries that are short so the schedule keeps changing quite rapidly.
OLN
OLN keeps it simple on weeknight with MonsterQuest at 8pm followed by two episodes of Operation Repo at 9pm and ending the night with UFO Hunters. On fridays, the 10pm timeslot is replaced with Conspiracy Theory.
SunTV
SunTV has removed Supernatural, Smallville and 20/20 from its schedule probably due to the fact it will be rebranded soon as a all news channel *Sun TV News”. for now, those shows are replaced with movie movies at 8pm (Mon, wed, thu, fri) At 10pm, The Insider is followed by The New Adv. of Old Christine. On week-ends, Army Wives air at 8pm followed by more movies at 9pm.
VIVA
Viva’s fall schedule is very similar from last fall’s schedule. Weeknights schedule include Missing at 8pm and The Closer at 9pm. At 10pm Cold Case replaces DaVinci’s Inquest. On Fridays at 9pm, a new series called The Devil You Know takes the place of The Closer. Another new series called Murder She Solved closes saturday nights. The rest of the evening is filled with two episodes of Rescue Mediums at 8pm and Ghostly Encounters at 9pm. On Sundays, movies start at 6:30pm and 9pm.
W Network
W Network is offerigng a lot of different programs. Some are new and some are returning favorites. Amongst new offerings are Burn My Mortgage (Tue @ 8pm), Inside the Box with Ty Pennington (tue @ 8:30pm), Restaurant In Our Living Room (wed @ 9pm), All For Nothing (thu @ 9pm) and Grin and Build It (thu @ 9:30pm). Returning shows include Come Dine with Me (Mon @ 8pm to 10pm), 9 By Design (Tue @ 9pm), Colour Confidential (Wed @ 10pm & 10L30pm) and A & K Grocery Bag (wed @ 8pm & 8:30pm). The week-end schedule is mostly filled with movies
