Score Media Inc. announces that University Rush – covering the hottest games in OUA football – is back and this year, theScore brings fans closer to the action with its multiplatform OUA content.
Calling all the action is the one and only Tim Micallef, the 2009 winner of the CIS’ Fred Sgambati Media Award recognizing his contribution to the development and growth of Canadian university sport. theScore’s University Rush coverage marks the network’s 9th season of OUA, including the most-watched OUA event in history, the 102nd Yates Cup final on Nov. 14, 2009. Joining Tim during each broadcast is former OUA and CFL all-star, Mike Morreale, who returns to the booth for his third season.
“I’ve been hosting University Rush on theScore since 2002 and each year the games get more exciting and our coverage gets better,” says Tim Micallef, play-by-play announcer, theScore. “This year, we’re taking our coverage to the next level by inviting the OUA community to get even more involved in the action whether it be on Twitter, Facebook, at theScore.com or on TV and with the addition of our guest bloggers representing each school appearing in live games on theScore, we’ll not only be the source for everything OUA but we’ll be continuing our quest to take CIS sport to the next level.”
