HGTV Canada Unveils Its New Winter Lineup Featuring 12 New Seasons and Series

Settle in this winter as HGTV Canada celebrates the great indoors with a brand new roster of entertaining and inspiring home related programming. Beginning January 3rd, network viewers will indulge in 12 new series and seasons, strengthening the already powerful primetime schedule. HGTV’s daytime schedule has also undergone a complete overhaul, launching all new back to back weekday programming strips of some of the channels most talked about series including: Disaster DIY, For Rent, House Hunters International and Property Virgins.

The newly refreshed lineup features six brand new series including: Cracking Antiques, a show that proves people can add style and glamour to any type of home by investing in second-hand, vintage and antique furnishings; Sarah 101, with Canadian design maven Sarah Richardson offering a crash course on the basics of good design; and Professional Grade, the series that helps dynamic homeowners renovate a room in their house using their own budget and acting as their own general contractor.

“HGTV’s winter primetime lineup includes the most schedule changes the network has ever seen,” says Emily Morgan, Vice President of Content for HGTV, Food Network and DIY Network. “We’re thrilled to offer HGTV viewers something new every night of the week, delivering the best in home related content spanning design, renovation and real estate.”

The fan-pleasing schedule is bolstered by new seasons of returning favourites, including: Holmes Inspection, Flipping Out, Dear Genevieve, Selling New York and more. For a full schedule please visit: www.hgtv.ca.

Professional Grade (North American Broadcast Premiere)
Thursdays at 8:30pm ET/9:30pm PT beginning January 6

The series that drags antiques from their pedestals, blows the dust off them and shows how they can be more affordable, stylish and better made than much of what the high street has to offer.

Property Ladder UK (North American Broadcast Premiere)

Hosted by Sarah Beeny, this series follows the journey of amateur property developers as they set out to make a life changing profit from renovating challenging houses.
