The Doctor will see you now. As revealed at San Diego Comic-Con this afternoon, the Season 6B premiere of DOCTOR WHO rockets back to Earth on Saturday, August 27 at 8 p.m. ET, two months earlier than planned. Once again, SPACE is delivering the next season of the recharged DOCTOR WHO series along with the rest of the world, and now the series is also available in full sublimity on SPACE HD. This season sees the return of Matt Smith as 11th Timelord and Karen Gillan as his feisty partner in time, Amy Pond. Behind the scenes, award-winning writer Steven Moffat, returns as the lead writer and executive producer.
The emotionally charged Season 6A finale of DOCTOR WHO confirmed the series as the most-watched in the history of SPACE among total viewers. The entire season drew an average audience of 520,000 total viewers, setting the new record. The season 6A finale, “A Good Man Goes To War”, was #1 among adult viewers (18-49 and 25-54) across all specialty television networks for the night.
Before the new season takes off, fans can travel back in time and catch up on the first half of this season with a DOCTOR WHO Season 6A marathon. The marathon beings Saturday, August 27 at 1 p.m. ET and leads into to the early mid-season premiere at 8 p.m. ET on SPACE and SPACE HD. Viewers can also catch up with The Doctor with encore viewings on SPACECAST.com.
