Bell Media Announces Initial Fall 2011 Premiere Dates for CTV and CTV Two

With just over three weeks to go before the most anticipated month in television, Bell Media announced today the first wave of Fall 2011 premiere dates for CTV and its sister network CTV Two . Laying the ground work for another #1 Fall Season, launch dates for seven new and 12 hit returning series on CTV, and six new and eight returning hits on CTV Two are confirmed, headlined by the hottest new competition series on the planet, Simon Cowell’s THE X FACTOR. The new recruits join the new Fall schedules already brimming with established Top 20 hits.

In addition to THE X FACTOR, the flashy new anchor to CTV’s Wednesday night lineup and CTV Two’s Thursday night lineup, is daytime’s hottest new Monday – Friday talk show ANDERSON which airs at 3 p.m. ET on CTV Two and 5 p.m. on CTV.

CTV

The first wave of confirmed premiere dates for new CTV series include, Tuesday night crime/mystery drama UNFORGETTABLE, starring Emmy®-nominated actor Poppy Montgomery; Friday night crime drama thriller GRIMM; and Sunday’s powerful new duo featuring fantasy drama ONCE UPON A TIME and the big-buzz period drama PAN AM, starring Emmy®-nominated actor Christina Ricci and Québec-native Karine Vanasse. Also joining the schedule is the a capella singing competition series THE SING-OFF on Saturdays and the weekday multi-Emmy® Award-winning THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW.

In addition, premiere dates are set for returning favourites including Canada’s #1 series THE BIG BANG THEORY and Canada’s #1 drama GREY’S ANATOMY, both back in their must-see Thursday night timeslots; Canada’s #1 returning new drama BLUE BLOODS; and primetime hits THE AMAZING RACE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, CSI, CSI: NY, CASTLE, and more.

CTV Two

In addition to THE X FACTOR and ANDERSON, the first wave of premiere dates for CTV Two’s engaging new Fall lineup include a new Tuesday night combo, the hilarious comedy MAN UP, and police drama THE PROTECTOR.

Some of TV’s hottest series joining CTV Two’s new lineup include the Emmy®-nominated MIKE & MOLLY, which joins the new Monday night comedy block. The #1 crime drama in Canada last year, CRIMINAL MINDS joins the CTV Two lineup on Wednesdays along with veteran drama LAW & ORDER: SVU. The action-packed Top 20 hit CSI: MIAMI anchors CTV Two’s fresh-new Sunday night lineup. Additionally, fan favourites returning to CTV Two this Fall include AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL on Wednesdays, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES on Thursdays and NIKITA on Fridays.

Also returning this Fall is the CTV Two Movie Night, featuring some of Hollywood’s favourite feature films, Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. The weekly blockbuster kicks off with Jerry Seinfeld’s hit animated feature BEE MOVIE on Sept. 18.
