Duff Goldman and Buddy Valastro Battle In The Ultimate Baking Brawl On Food Network Canada’s New Series Buddy vs. Duff

Elite bakers Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss) and Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes) are set to face-off in an epic baking brawl. Kicking off the spring schedule on Sunday, March 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, discover who will be crowned the undisputed king of cake on the new series Buddy vs. Duff,  premiering on Food Network Canada. The six-week competition will challenge every aspect of what it means to be a true pastry artist and cake master. From baking techniques, to design skills, and taste, each episode will measure their talent in two rounds: a bake-off to test their baking abilities, followed by a cake-off to showcase their creative imaginations and decorating expertise.

The battle begins with the first bake-off round as Buddy and Duff must make their most beloved family recipes. Then, in the cake-off round, they have to construct car-inspired cakes with all the bells and whistles. Throughout the season, the rivals are challenged with creating carnival treats to impress a crowd of hungry amusement park patrons, dazzle the judges with intricate Bollywood-inspired cakes, and satisfy customers during the morning rush at the iconic Randy’s Donuts in Los Angeles, Calif. If that’s not enough, they must also design desserts for an exclusive dog pampering party, impress a couple with elegant wedding cakes, and enchant audiences with illusion cakes for a special show at Hollywood’s Magic Castle.

Judges and renowned chefs Sherry Yard and Keegan Gerhard are joined throughout by guest experts including, Florian Bellanger (Cupcake Wars), Kevin Delaney, Christina Anstead (Flip or Flop), Hannah Hart (I Hart Food), Waylynn Lucas (Cake Wars), Penn & Teller, Gesine Prado (Baked in Vermont), Richard Rawlings, Aarti Sequeira (Guy’s Grocery Games), and many more.

In the finale, airing on Sunday, April 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Buddy and Duff face their toughest challenge of the series. For the final bake-off, the two chefs must work to make their most heartfelt and monumental creations yet – chocolate desserts to conceal engagement rings for surprise proposals. In the final cake-off, their skills will be pushed to new heights, as Duff returns to Charm City Cakes and Buddy heads back to Carlo’s Bake Shop to work on their final show-stopping space-themed cakes.

Also joining the spring slate on Food Network Canada, a new season of Spring Baking Championship premieres March 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Ali Khan, 10 top bakers will take on springtime treats, as they enter the kitchen to show off their superb baking skills. To survive the challenges from week to week, the bakers must prove their abilities in front of the returning tough-love judges, Duff Goldman, Lorraine Pascale and Nancy Fuller.

Food Network Canada is available on a National Free Preview from March 1 to April 30. Please check local listings for additional details.
