CTV Offers Bountiful Lineup, Oct. 4–15

CTV begins October with the season premiere of CSI: MIAMI, and new episodes of hit series MEDIUM, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, THE AMAZING RACE, UNDERCOVER BOSS, DANCING WITH THE STARS, NO ORDINARY FAMILY, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA, THE BIG BANG THEORY and BLUE BLOODS.

Programming Highlights for Oct. 1–15 on CTV include:

* A team considers using their precious Express Pass on THE AMAZING RACE (Oct . 3)
* The first female CEO to appear on UNDERCOVER BOSS, hits the frontlines of Great Wolf Resorts, North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts including a location in Niagara Falls (Oct . 3)
* The CSI team loses one of their own on the season premiere of CSI: MIAMI (Oct. 3)
* Ten remaining celebrity dancers take to the stage on DANCING WITH THE STARS (Oct . 4)
* The competition heats up on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA (Oct. 6)
* Dancers with the lowest votes are eliminated on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA (Oct. 7)
* Sheldon (Jim Parsons) searches for an alternative to human companionship on THE BIG BANG THEORY (Oct. 7)
* Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) estranged sister comes to Seattle Grace on the GREY’S ANATOMY and PRIVATE PRACTICE cross-over episode (Oct. 7)
* Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Frank (Tom Selleck) and Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) work within the system to find justice on BLUE BLOODS (Oct. 8)
* The cast from THE BIG BANG THEORY sits down with ETALK on LIVE AT ETALK: THE BIG BANG THEORY (Oct. 11)

Monday, Oct. 4

8 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – NEW TWO-HOUR PERFORMANCE EPISODE
The celebrity pairings continue to test their dancing abilities as the competition heats up.

10 p.m. – CASTLE – “Under the Gun” – NEW EPISODE
When a coded document hidden by a murdered bail bondsman gets Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) imagination running wild, Beckett (Stana Katic) must steer the case back to the violent felons who populated their victim’s world. Beckett soon discovers that Castle’s crazy theories aren’t so outrageous after all.

Tuesday, Oct. 5

8 p.m. – NO ORDINARY FAMILY – “No Ordinary Marriage” – NEW EPISODE
Jim (Michael Chiklis) attempts to track down some elusive bank robbers, while Stephanie (Julie Benz) looks into discovering the source of the family’s newly acquired powers. Meanwhile, Daphne (Kay Panabaker), discovers that JJ (Jimmy Bennett) has become a super genius but is hiding it from the family.

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – NEW RESULTS EPISODE
Another celebrity dancer and their professional partner are voted off and sent home.

10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Merchandise” – NEW EPISODE
A teenage girl’s death exposes a human trafficking ring, leading detectives Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) to team up with an old friend at the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Wednesday, Oct. 6

8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA – NEW PERFORMANCE EPISODE
The dance competition inches closer to the finale, as the finalists prove they deserve the title of Canada’s Favourite Dancer.

9 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “Compromising Positions” – NEW EPISODE
The BAU team searches for a serial killer who is preying on married couples.

Thursday, Oct. 7

7 p.m. – CSI – “Blood Moon” – NEW EPISODE
The CSI team investigates a murder at a vampire and werewolf convention in Las Vegas.

8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Zazzy Substitution” – NEW EPISODE
The guys are concerned as Sheldon (Emmy® Award-winner Jim Parsons) searches for an alternative to human companionship.

8:30 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA – NEW RESULTS EPISODE
The competition continues to narrow down as dancers with the lowest number of votes are eliminated.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Superfreak” – NEW CROSS-OVER EPSIODE
When Derek (Patrick Dempsey) receives an unexpected and unwelcome visit from his estranged sister Amelia (Caterina Scorsone, PRIVATE PRACTICE), issues between the siblings come to surface. Meanwhile, the Chief (James Pickens, Jr.) tries to help Alex (Justin Chambers) when he notices that he’s refusing to use the elevators after his near-fatal shooting. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek continue their efforts to ease Cristina (Sandra Oh) back into surgery after her post-traumatic stress.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “The Blood on His Hands”– NEW EPISODE
When Patrick Jane’s (Simon Baker) brother-in-law returns to town and gets mixed up in a murder investigation, Patrick must come to his aid despite personal reservations. Leslie Hope (24) reprises her role as Psychic Kristina Frye.

Friday, Oct. 8

8 p.m. – MEDIUM – “Means and Ends” – NEW EPISODE
Scanlon’s (David Cubitt) haunting dreams of his late brother leave Allison (Patricia Arquette) concerned for her partner.

9 p.m. – CSI: NY– “Damned If You Do” – NEW EPISODE
When a married couple is found beaten in their home, a mother identifies her son as the killer. The CSI team believes they have their suspect, but all is not what it seems when another witness comes forward.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Priviledge” – NEW EPISODE
When a rape case’s primary suspect is protected by diplomatic immunity, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Frank (Tom Selleck) and Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) work within the system to find justice.

Saturday, Oct. 9

7 p.m. – W5 – “Sex, Drug & Rock ‘n Roll” – NEW EPISODE
W5 gets up close and personal with former frontman of the Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page, in their second episode of the season. Page gives his most revealing interview since breaking out on his solo career. Paula Todd goes behind the scenes as he rebuilds his career and sets the record straight on infidelity, drugs and the breakup of his former band.

Sunday, Oct. 10

7 p.m. – UNDERCOVER BOSS – “DirecTV” – NEW EPISODE
The boss of DirecTV makes an eye-opening journey to the frontlines of his company where he finds employees paying out of pocket for an essential piece of equipment, and accidentally offends a customer

8 p.m. – THE AMAZING RACE – “In Phil We Trust” – NEW EPISODE
The remaining teams continue their $1 million pursuit in the third leg of The Race.

9 p.m. – DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – “Truly Content” – NEW EPISODE
Some of Susan’s (Teri Hatcher) sexy Internet acts are stolen by a competitor, while Lynette (Felicity Huffman) questions a depression remedy prescribed to Tom (Doug Savant) by his doctor. Meanwhile, Renee (Vanessa Williams) invites Bree (Marcia Cross) to go clubbing with her.

10 p.m. – CSI: MIAMI – “Sudden Death” – NEW EPISODE
When a bottle girl is murdered at an exclusive club, Horatio (David Caruso) must search through Miami’s most elite guest list to find her killer.

Monday, Oct. 11

7 p.m. LIVE AT ETALK: THE BIG BANG THEORY – NEW SPECIAL
The cast of THE BIG BANG THEORY hit Toronto and sit down with the ETALK hosts on a special LIVE AT ETALK.

8 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – NEW TWO-HOUR PERFORMANCE EPISODE
The dancing couples tango their way closer to the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

10 p.m. – CASTLE – “Punked” – NEW EPISODE
Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett’s (Stana Katic) case of a young man killed by a 200-year-old bullet takes them into a secret steampunk society.

Tuesday, Oct. 12

8 p.m. – NO ORDINARY FAMILY – “No Ordinary Ring” – NEW EPISODE
After Stephanie’s (Julie Benz) wedding ring is heisted, Jim (Michael Chiklis) and George (Romany Malco) become wedding crashers in order to catch a group of thieves robbing high-end weddings.

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – NEW RESULTS EPISODE
Another celebrity dancer and their professional partner are voted off the competition.

10 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Wet” – NEW EPISODE
When a strait-laced woman is found dead in a fountain, detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) have a hard time putting together a clear picture of the victim. After the toxicology results are returned, suspicion falls on a crazed activist and professor at a local college.

Wednesday, Oct. 13

8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA – NEW PERFORMANCE EPISODE
As the competition heats up, Canada’s top dancers continue to bust a move on the dance floor.

9 p.m. – CRIMINAL MINDS – “Remembrance of Things Past” – NEW EPISODE
When the murders of several young women mirror a case Rossi (Joe Mantegna) investigated years ago, he must revisit a cold case that has haunted him for 25 years.

Thursday, Oct. 14

7 p.m. – CSI – “Sqweegel” – NEW EPISODE
A mysterious serial killer who spends weeks shadowing his victims is on the attack in Sin City.

8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Hot Troll Deviation” – NEW EPISODE

8:30 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA – NEW RESULTS EPISODE
Canada says goodbye to more dancers.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Can’t Fight Biology” – NEW EPISODE
A visit to the obstetrician results in some disturbing news for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey). Lexie (Chyler Leigh) loses it when she notices Meredith and April (Sarah Drew) getting closer. Meanwhile, a car crash brings in multiple traumas as Jackson (Jesse Williams) uses his physical attributes to get ahead in the operating room. Cristina’s (Sandra Oh) self-doubt carries outside the hospital and into her house hunting with Owen (Kevin McKidd).

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “Red Carpet Treatment”– NEW EPISODE
Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and the rest of the team investigate the murder of a convict who was released on DNA evidence.

Friday, Oct. 15

8 p.m. – MEDIUM – “How to Kill a Good Guy” – NEW EPISODE
Allison (Patricia Arquette) continues to find herself at odds with Scanlon (David Cubitt) when she thinks his late brother could be linked to a missing girl’s murder.

9 p.m. – CSI: NY – “Sangre Por Sangre” – NEW EPISODE
When a powerful gang leader is murdered, the CSI team must find the killer before a street war breaks out.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Officer Down” – NEW EPISODE
