The consistently bold and always hilarious TOSH.0 continued making waves with it’s mid-season finale Tuesday night on The Comedy Network, blowing its own previous record out of the water and winning the night among all non-sports specialty channels.* With an audience of 358,000 total viewers, the episode achieved a series-high audience, up 9% over its previous high. With this new and impressive record, Season 3 of TOSH.0 has found itself in the spotlight once again as the most-watched series in The Comedy Network’s history among total viewers, adults (18-49), and young men (18-34).
While desperately awaiting the return of the series for the final block of Season 3 on Tuesday, September 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, fans can enjoy all their favourite TOSH.0 episodes during The Comedy Network’s TOSH.0 block, every Sunday from 10 p.m. –12 a.m. ET or on demand at www.thecomedynetwork.ca.
Throughout the season, the timeslot in which TOSH.0 was scheduled was, on average, the most-watched timeslot on Canadian Specialty TV among A18-34. The series has been steadily growing among total viewers, with Season 2 up 70% over Season 1, and now Season 3 up 137% over S2.
In the finale episode on Tuesday, Daniel Tosh explored the ‘5 Second Rule’ and tried to find the leprechaun in Mobile, Alabama. Also announced was the winner of the college campus invasion, awarded to Arizona State University for playing hard to get by not submitting their entry to the contest.
Always topical, TOSH.0 delves into the ridiculous and absurdity that has come hand in hand with the popularity of viral videos. The series features viral clips of the week and original videos created by and starring well-known actors and comedians. Each episode also features the segment “Web Redemptions” which gives subjects of infamous viral videos a chance to redeem themselves.
