It’s that time of year again, ghouls and goblins! This year, AMC’s FearFest has some epic marathons coming your way and we’re kicking it all off with one of the freakiest franchises around to get the festivities started.
Join us on Saturday, September 28th for the start of the Halloween Weekend Marathon featuring Halloween 1-6, Halloween: H2O, Halloween: Resurrection, Halloween (2007), and Halloween II (2009). That all leads up to the premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol on Sunday, September 29th at 9/8c.
Then as we head into October, don’t miss an all-day John Carpenter marathon on Thursday, October 3rd including Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Christine, The Thing (1982), They Live, Vampires, and Ghosts of Mars. We’ll be keeping things creepy that week by celebrating A Nightmare on Elm Street 40th anniversary on Friday, October 4th with a marathon that includes A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010).
It’s a Friday the 13th Marathon on Saturday, October 5th including Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th Part II, Friday the 13th Part III, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Then your weekend will be topped off by a Final Destination marathon on Sunday, October 6th featuring Final Destination (2000), Final Destination 2, Final Destination 3, and Final Destination 5. And that’s just one week into FearFest!
From a Stephen King library takeover on Saturday, October 12th including Carrie (1976), Misery, Thinner, Silver Bullet, Christine and many more, to a “Slasher Sunday” on October 20th featuring Poltergeist, House of Wax (2005), The Last House on the Left and The Shining, FearFest will be a true feast for horror fans.
