Cirque du Soleil provides a little Canadian content in this year’s Royal Variety Performance held in the presence of HRH Prince Harry. The 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors – 9 to 11pm on CBS
This year’s honourees of those who have contributed to American culture through the arts are singer-songwriter Carole King, filmmaker George Lucas, singer-dancer-actress Rita Moreno, conductor Seiji Ozawa and actress Cicely Tyson. Stephen Colbert hosts.

Galavant – 8 to 10pm on ABC – First season marathon
Before season two begins, here’s a chance to catch up on the four half-hours from season one. This epic musical-comedy fairy tale has a Monty-Pythonesque tinge to it. Hang in there until the third half-hour at 9pm, which features Ricky Gervais.
