Crave Highlights for June 2024

MUST-WATCH TITLES FOR JUNE


JUNE 4 – Crave and VICE TV Original Series WHO KILLED WCW? *Series Premiere*

  • Produced in partnership with VICE Studios Canada, the Crave Original unscripted series WHO KILLED WCW? dives deep into the history, rise, and ultimate demise of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). From Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, the four-part series explores the complex factors that led to the promotion’s downfall, including management challenges, creative decisions, and the intense competition during the infamous “Monday Night Wars.” Featuring exclusive, in-depth interviews with wrestlers, executives, and insiders, the series sheds light on the personal stories and struggles of those who lived through the rise and fall of WCW. WHO KILLED WCW? premieres on Tuesday, June 4 at 10 p.m. ET. New episodes drop on subsequent Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET.


JUNE 7 – STARZ Original Series POWER BOOK II: GHOST *Season Premiere*

  • POWER BOOK II: GHOST returns for its highly anticipated fourth season, Friday, June 7. In the new season, new alliances have been formed with each faction and Tariq and Brayden must find a way back into the game. But Brayden starts flirting with a new, reckless lifestyle, leaving Tariq to wonder if there really is room for two at the top. With Monet left for dead, Davis facing potential disbarment, and Effie looking to secure her future at Stanford, everyone’s on their own. Diana and Dru continue to question their roles while Cane levels up and starts working with Noma. As Noma is fighting to establish her business in the States and keep her daughter Anya in line, she finds her way on Tariq and Brayden’s radar. With the fate of his future in the game and his family at the forefront, Tariq must reconcile his past to rise to the top of the food chain and become who he needs to be to protect those he loves most.

JUNE 11 – LOVE ISLAND USA *Season Premiere*

  • Hosted by beloved TV personality Ariana Madix, Season 6 of the hit series LOVE ISLAND USA premieres on Tuesday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET, with new episodes dropping on Crave six days a week. Set in Fiji, Season 6 features a brand-new vibrant villa including a spicy Casa Amor and an unforgettable Hideaway. Islanders are set to face more drama than ever before with jaw-dropping revelations, brand-new couples’ challenges, and surprise guests. Along the way, viewers vote for their favourite couples via the Love Island USA app to determine which Islanders remain in the villa and who goes home, heartbroken, and empty-handed.


JUNE 16 – HBO Original Series HOUSE OF THE DRAGON *Season Premiere*

  • HBO’s critically acclaimed drama series, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON returns for its eight-episode second season, Sunday, June 16 at 9 p.m. ET. Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON is set 200 years before the events of GAME OF THRONES and tells the story of House Targaryen. In Season 2, Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. HOUSE OF THE DRAGON stars Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham. Additional Season 2 cast includes: Abubakar Salim, Gayle Rankin, Freddie Fox, Simon Russell Beale, Clinton Liberty, Jamie Kenna, Kieran Bew, Tom Bennett, Tom Taylor, and Vincent Regan. New episodes drop on subsequent Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.


JUNE 21 – Crave Original Series SHORESY *Season Finale*

  • Created by and starring Jared Keeso, and produced by New Metric Media in association with Play Fun Games, SHORESY sees the foul-mouthed, chirp-serving, mother-loving, fan favourite character, Shoresy (Keeso), and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs of the Northern Ontario Senior Hockey Organization (The NOSHO), continue their quest to never lose again. In Season 3, Shoresy and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs compete in the National Senior Tournament, facing off against teams from across Canada, like the Charlottetown Reds, Brooks Barrelmen, Vaughan Canadesi, and SOO Hunt. The season finale of SHORESY drops on Friday, June 21.

JUNE 2 – HBO Original Documentary Series REN FAIRE *Series Premiere*

  • For half a century, 86-year-old George Coulam, known to his employees as King George, has reigned with an iron fist over the Texas Renaissance Festival, the largest such “faire” in the world. He has power, as the elected mayor of the town he incorporated. He has glory, as the undisputed employer and self-proclaimed ruler of thousands. He has vast wealth, as the majority shareholder of the festival. Now, he is ready to give it all up and spend the last years of his life in the quest for a romantic companion. But before he retires, George will finally choose which of his longtime employees will take his crown. Three-part documentary series, REN FAIRE debuts on Sunday, June 2 at 9 p.m. ET with one episode, followed by episodes two and three on Sunday, June 9.


JUNE 6 – AM I OK? *Movie Premiere*

  • Lucy and Jane have been best friends for most of their lives and think they know everything there is to know about each other. But when Jane announces she’s moving to London, Lucy reveals a long-held secret. As Jane tries to help Lucy, their friendship is thrown into chaos. An official selection of the Sundance Film Festival, AM I OK?, stars Dakota Johnson, Sonoya Mizuno, Jermaine Fowler, Kiersey Clemons, Molly Gordon, with Sean Hayes and Tig Notaro.


JUNE 7 – HBO Original Series FANTASMAS *Series Premiere*

  • In FANTASMAS, writer, director, and comedian Julio Torres (HBO’s Los Espookys) spins a fantastical six-part tale of when he lost a gold oyster earring. In his search to find the precious object, Julio reflects on the offbeat characters he encounters in introspective, often eerie, and always comedic vignettes set in dreamy, alternate version of New York City. A kaleidoscope of color and surrealism, FANTASMAS weaves together stories of people looking for meaning, purpose, and connection in an increasingly isolating world. FANTASMAS debuts on Friday, June 7 at 11 p.m. ET.


JUNE 28 – MADAME WEB *Movie Premiere*

  • From the Sony Pictures universe of Marvel characters, the suspense-driven thriller MADAME WEB stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future…and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies…if they can all survive a deadly present.
