MAY 6 – DARK SIDE OF THE RING (Crave Original) *Season 3A Premiere*
- The critically-acclaimed Crave Original series DARK SIDE OF THE RING returns for its third season, beginning Thursday, May 6 at 9 p.m. ET. Produced in partnership with VICE Studios, the series continues to lift the veil on the most controversial stories in the world of wrestling, giving viewers unprecedented access to wrestling insiders and revealing the brutal truths and often tragic consequences of lives in the squared circle. Season 3 offers an inside look into the stories of Brian Pillman, Nick Gage, The Ultimate Warrior, Grizzly Smith, The Dynamite Kid, and more. DARK SIDE OF THE RING follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes available to stream Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
MAY 7 – WAY OVER ME (SORTEZ-MOI DE MOI) (Crave Original) *Series Premiere*
- All six episodes of the new Crave Original series from Québec, WAY OVER ME (SORTEZ-MOI DE MOI), drop on Friday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET. Marking a first for Crave, the series is available for English-language audiences in two versions: subtitled and dubbed audio. The psychological thriller takes viewers inside the world of mental health care, with Dr. Justine Mathieu (Pascale Bussières) following patients brought to her by emergency care front-line responders, Clara St-Amand (Sophie Lorain) and Gabriel Beauregard (Bruno Marcil). Despite her misgivings, Dr. Mathieu is attracted to a new patient, David Ducharme (Vincent Leclerc), who is struggling with a bipolar episode. Their secret relationship grows more and more compromising. The series is based on an original idea by Sophie Lorain and Alexis Durand-Brault. Durand-Brault also directs the series.
MAY 7 – TENET *Movie Premiere*
- The mind-bending thriller TENET begins streaming on Crave on Friday, May 7. John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle. Armed with only one word – Tenet – and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage, on a mission that unfolds into something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion. The international cast of TENET also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Martin Donovan, Fiona Dourif, Yuri Kolokolnikov, Himesh Patel, Clémence Poésy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.
MAY 9 – SHOWTIME’s ZIWE *Series Premiere*
- From DESUS & MERO writer, comedian, performer, and internet sensation, Ziwe, whose comedy is described as “iconic” by Vulture, and who has “perfected the art of putting people on the spot” according to Vanity Fair, SHOWTIME’s new series ZIWE premieres Sunday, May 9 at 11 p.m. ET. The riotously funny, new variety series is a no-holds-barred mix of musical numbers, interviews, guest stars, and sketches that challenge America’s discomfort with race, politics, and other cultural issues. ZIWE follows a weekly release schedule, dropping Sundays at 11 p.m. ET.
MAY 14 – SOUND OF METAL *Movie Premiere*
- Nominated for six Academy Awards in 2021, including Best Motion Picture and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, the drama SOUND OF METAL is available for streaming on Crave on Friday, May 14. The film follows Ruben (Riz Ahmed) and Lou (Olivia Cooke), two nomad metal musicians traveling gig to gig, on an endless American tour. Their music is loud, frenzied, and passionate, until one day, Ruben is overwhelmed by a severe ringing in his ears, which quickly gives way to deafness and forces Ruben to face his past.
MAY 16 – STARZ’s RUN THE WORLD *Series Premiere*
- STARZ’s new comedy series RUN THE WORLD begins streaming Sunday, May 16. RUN THE WORLD follows a group of smart, funny, and vibrant thirty-something Black women – fiercely loyal best friends – who live, work, and play in Harlem. As they strive for world domination, they each navigate career highs and lows, hookups, and heartbreaks, that causes them to re-evaluate who they are, and where they are going. At its core, it’s an authentic and unapologetic show about enviable friendship and not only surviving – but thriving together. RUN THE WORLD follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes of the eight-episode series available to stream Sundays on STARZ.
MAY 21 – WONDER WOMAN 1984 *Movie Premiere*
- Just in time for the first long weekend of the summer, the blockbuster action-adventure WONDER WOMAN 1984 drops on Crave on Friday, May 21. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) lives quietly among mortals in the vibrant, sleek 1980s – an era of excess driven by the pursuit of having it all. Though she’s come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile by curating ancient artifacts, and only performing heroic acts incognito. But soon, Diana will have to muster all of her strength, wisdom, and courage as she finds herself squaring off against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, and stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord, and Robin Wright as Antiope.

MAY 2 – STARZ’s THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE *Season 3 Premiere*
- Season 3 of the STARZ limited series THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE premieres with two episodes dropping Sunday, May 2. THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE is a reimagining of Steven Soderbergh’s 2009 critically-acclaimed movie of the same name, and explores the relationships between exclusive escorts and their clients. Known as GFEs, they are women who provide “The Girlfriend Experience” – emotional and sexual relationships at a very high price. The third instalment of the anthology series is set amidst the London tech scene. Iris (Julia Goldani Telles, THE AFFAIR), a neuroscience major, begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep inside the uncanny valley with the relationships she creates. Iris quickly learns that her client sessions provide her with a compelling edge in the tech world and vice versa. She then begins to question whether her actions are driven by free will, or something else altogether, and heads down a deep path of exploration. THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes available to stream Sundays on STARZ.
MAY 6 – HBO MAX’s LEGENDARY *Season 2 Premiere*
- The HBO Max ballroom competition series LEGENDARY returns with three new episodes on Thursday, May 6. Hailed by Indiewire as “a mind-boggling fantasia of ingenuity,” MC Dashaun Wesley along with judges Leiomy Maldonado, Jameela Jamil, Law Roach, and Grammy® winner Megan Thee Stallion, are set to crown the last house standing with the help of guest judges Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Amiyah Scott, Nicco Annan, Adam Lambert, and Demi Lovato. Season 2 features 10 new houses igniting the catwalk to battle for the legendary trophy and the $100,000 cash prize. Each episode is a themed extravaganza to see who will be named the superior house, and move one step closer to becoming “Legendary.” LEGENDARY follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Thursdays.
MAY 7 – Hulu’s SHRILL *Third and Final Season*
- Starring Aidy Bryant, and from executive producers Lorne Michaels and Elizabeth Banks, all eight episodes of the third and final season of Hulu’s SHRILL drop on Friday, May 7. The new season finds Annie (Bryant) energized by her breakup with dud boyfriend Ryan (Luka Jones) and her newfound momentum at work. Annie feels like everything is finally falling into place for her, but does she actually know how to get what she wants?
MAY 10 – HBO’s THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY *Documentary Premiere*
- “Part One” of the two-part HBO documentary THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY debuts Monday, May 10 at 9 p.m. ET, with “Part Two” airing Tuesday, May 11 at 9 p.m. ET. Directed by Emmy® and Academy Award® winner Alex Gibney and presented in association with The Washington Post, THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY is a searing indictment of Big Pharma, and the political operatives and government regulations that enabled over-production, reckless distribution, and abuse of synthetic opiates. The documentary explores the origins, extent, and fallout of one of the most devastating public health tragedies of our time, with half a million deaths from overdoses this century alone, revealing that America’s opioid epidemic is not a public health crisis that came out of nowhere.
MAY 23 – HBO’s IN TREATMENT *Season 4 Premiere*
- 10 years after the Season 3 finale, HBO’s Emmy-winning drama series IN TREATMENT returns for its fourth season, premiering with two episodes on Sunday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET. Emmy winner Uzo Aduba (MRS. AMERICA, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) plays the observant, empathetic Dr. Brooke Taylor, the therapist at the center of the season. The reimagining of the series is set in present-day Los Angeles, and brings a diverse trio of patients in session with Brooke to help navigate a variety of modern concerns. Issues such as the global pandemic and recent major social and cultural shifts are a backdrop to the work Brooke will undertake – all while she deals with complications in her own personal life. IN TREATMENT follows a bi-weekly release schedule, with two new episodes dropping each Sunday and Monday at 9 p.m. ET.
MAY 23 – SHOWTIME’s THE CHI *Season 4 Premiere*
- Season 4 of SHOWTIME’s THE CHI premieres Sunday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET. On Chicago’s south side, an average day finds kids prepping for school as their parents head off to work, young adults trying to make a living, and the elders keeping an eye on things from their front porches. But in this tough neighbourhood, real dangers threaten daily to squelch dreams, and the simplest decisions can have life or death consequences. From Emmy-winner Lena Waithe, THE CHI is a timely coming-of-age drama series centred on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence, but bonded by the need for connection and redemption. MAY 23 – SHOWTIME’s BLACK MONDAY *Season 3 Premiere*
- Season 3 of SHOWTIME’s BLACK MONDAY premieres Sunday, May 23 at 10 p.m. ET. Travel back to October 19, 1987 – aka Black Monday, the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. To this day, no one knows who caused it … until now. This is the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street, and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, and the glass ceiling. MAY 23 – SHOWTIME’S FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS *New Series Premiere*
- The new SHOWTIME series FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS premieres Sunday, May 23 at 10:30 p.m. ET. In this irreverent new comedy series, rising comedians Dan Perlman and Kevin Iso play fictionalized versions of themselves: neighbourhood best friends, and urban millennials hilariously climbing the ladder to nowhere. But even inside the losing, Dan and Kevin find there are little wins that come from tackling hipsters, mental health issues, and the rising tide of gentrification.
