CTV Life Channel Serves Up a Second Helping of MARY MAKES IT EASY Beginning September 13

Multi-Canadian Screen Award-winning host Mary Berg is back in her happy place – her kitchen – for the second season of the original culinary series MARY MAKES IT EASY, airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET beginning September 13 on CTV Life Channel, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. With 25 all-new half-hour episodes, Berg helps viewers find confidence in cooking, offering up a new season stuffed with simple step-by-step tutorials featuring recipes guaranteed to impress without the stress.

“My number one wish is for everyone to love being in the kitchen as much as I do, but I understand that kitchen woes can seem never-ending,” said host and co-executive producer, Mary Berg. “I loved getting more questions and ideas from everyone who watched Season 1 of MARY MAKES IT EASY, so now in Season 2 we get to solve even more problems and amp up the fun along the way!”

Filmed in her home kitchen in Toronto, the series follows Berg as she shares inspiring tips, tricks, and recipes to solve every day cooking conundrums. From time-saving supermarket swaps, to new twists on familiar ingredients, Berg’s thoughtful solutions leave viewers with a newfound confidence to overcome any culinary challenge.

MARY MAKES IT EASY kicks off its second season with an episode featuring Berg’s main squeeze – lemons. In the Season 2 premiere, “When Life Gives You Lemons,” airing Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Life Channel, Mary makes a star out of one of her all-time favourite ingredients and whips up a Lemon Raspberry Loaf with a bright pink glaze; Lemon Parmesan Chicken that is fancy enough for guests but quick enough for any night of the week; a zesty take on carbonara – Creamy Lemon Crab Pasta with a nutty sesame topping; and to finish it all off, a lemonade that is infused with seasonal berries and fresh mint.

Viewers can stream new episodes of MARY MAKES IT EASY on CTV.ca and the CTV app, which is also home to bonus content including exclusive video content and behind-the-scenes extras.

For the third consecutive year, Berg is the Canadian Screen Award-winner for Best Host, Lifestyle for her shows MARY MAKES IT EASY (2022) and MARY’S KITCHEN CRUSH (2020-21). MARY MAKES IT EASY was also named Best Lifestyle Program or Series at this year’s Canadian Screen Awards, following back-to-back wins for MARY’S KITCHEN CRUSH in 2020 and 2021. Season 1 of MARY MAKES IT EASY also premiered on Food Network in the U.S. this past February. Berg is the Season 3 winner of CTV’s MASTERCHEF CANADA, as well as a cooking expert on CTV YOUR MORNING, THE SOCIAL, and THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW. Berg is the best-selling author of Kitchen Party: Effortless Recipes for Every Occasion, and Berg’s newest book Well Seasoned: A Year’s Worth of Delicious Recipes.
