Brian Mulroney – the 18th Prime Minister of Canada and former leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada – will be the featured interview on this Thursday’s THE LANG & O’LEARY EXCHANGE on CBC-TV and CBC News Network. This far-reaching interview by CBC News’ Senior Business Correspondent, Amanda Lang is on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Canada-US free trade agreement – a precursor to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Lang will question Mulroney on where – after more than two decades – Canada stands in the global economy. Has NAFTA been positive or negative for Canadians? What is the future of free trade agreements, and international trade? Lang & Mulroney will dive into these issues and give Canadians a unique and authoritative perspective on our economy from a former Canadian Prime Minister.
The interview will air on THE LANG & O’LEARY EXCHANGE on Thursday night, October 4, at 6:30 p.m. (7 NT) on CBC-TV, and the 60-minute program will air at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on CBC News Network.
