Canada’s Smartest Person Ends With Two-Hours Finale

CBC’s competition series, CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON wraps its second season with an exciting two-hour finale on Sunday, November 22 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT). In the penultimate episode, Jason Vander-Hoek of Langley, BC secured the final spot in the finale.

After seven weeks of intense competition the finalists return for the ultimate showdown. A rapper, a YouTube performer, a winemaker, an engineering student, an IT security executive, a CFL player and a teacher will battle it out until one reigns victorious and is crowned “Canada’s Smartest Person.”

The competition will be intense as the finalists go head-to-head in an all-new series of thrilling challenges that test six areas of intelligence. Only the top two who demonstrate the greatest strength across the board will make it to the ultimate showdown, the Super Gauntlet, before only one remains to take the coveted title. Special guest judges include TIFF’s artistic director Cameron Bailey and chef Mark McEwan.

The seven returning finalists include:
Anthony (aka IllVibe) Craparotta, a rapper from Toronto, ON

Tim Blais, a YouTube performer from Montreal, QC

Dan Tweyman, a winemaker from Belleville, ON

Katy Warren, an engineering student from St.John’s, NL
