Today, CBC Sports and Red Bull Media House announced a new three-year partnership, with an extensive back catalogue of past events from the Red Bull Signature Series available now on the free CBC Gem streaming service, and broadcast coverage of upcoming Red Bull Signature Series events on CBC and CBC Gem.

From the challenging peaks of the Canadian backcountry to the sandstone cliffs of Utah, the Red Bull Signature Series spans the sports of snowboarding, mountain biking, freestyle motocross, ice cross downhill, skiing and BMX events on custom courses from the inspiration of the athletes themselves. Innovative competitions around the globe will be covered through jaw-dropping and one-of-a-kind action sports programming available on CBC and CBC Gem all year long.

More than 30 past programs of the Red Bull Signature Series, such as Red Bull Ice Cross World Championship, Red Bull Rampage, Burton US Open, Red Bull Straight Rhythm, Red Bull Joyride, Volcom Pipe Pro, Red Bull Roller Coaster, and much more, are now available to stream on-demand via CBC Gem. Canadian events like the Red Bull Ice Cross World Championship races in Ottawa (2017) and Edmonton (2018) as well as Red Bull Joyride in Whistler (2016, 2017) are also available on CBC Gem.

CBC Sports will offer broadcast coverage of the Crandon World Cup on Sunday, November 10 at 1:30 a.m. ET/ 12 a.m. MT/ 11 p.m. PT, following Hockey Night in Canada, on CBC and CBC Gem.

Mountain biking’s truest test of skill and mental toughness – Red Bull Rampage – returns today for its 14th edition, live from Virgin, Utah, USA, and will deliver one of the craziest events of the year, with the biggest drops, steepest cliffs and the best riders from freeride, downhill and freestyle all competing for freeride mountain biking’s most coveted title. Six Canadian riders are among the 21 invited athletes who will take part in the competition. Canadians will cheer for 2018 champion, Mount Albert, Ontario’s Brett Rheeder, who is known for his fluid style and huge tricks, as he will attempt to defend his title in his seventh year at Red Bull Rampage.

Buckle up! The Crandon World Cup returns to the Northern Woods of Forest County, Wisconsin for its 50th anniversary. This adrenaline-packed off-road racing is a non-denominational event open to the best PRO-class racers in the sport and is known as the “Super Bowl of short course off-road racing.”
