Then, a recital by the young Indigenous soprano Elisabeth St-Gelais, recorded especially for CBC Music this spring at McGill University. Plus, Mary Morrison, the legendary 96-year-old Toronto voice teacher joins Marion to share stories and memorable performances by her students who have gone on to become some of Canada’s biggest opera stars, including Tracy Dahl and Measha Brueggergosman.
SATURDAY NIGHT JAZZ WITH LAILA BIALI

Featuring Latin jazz from Luis Deniz and Jane Bunnett & Maqueque and ending with a few tunes sung en français by Sophie Day and Sonia Johnson.
