ONE WEEK AWAY: The 2024 Canadian Screen Awards starts on Tuesday, May 28!

It’s time to get excited – the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards are almost here! Beginning on Tuesday, May 28, the Canadian Academy will be celebrating the best in Canadian film, television and digital media with four days of award shows live at the CBC Broadcast Centre Toronto hosted by famed Canadians including Sarah Davis, Andrew Phung, Keshia Chantè, Anne-Marie Mediwake, Sabine Daniel, and Mae Martin! The shows will also feature presenters from some of your favourite Canadian works, including members of the cast from This Hour Has 22 Minutes and ET Canada, Arisa Cox, Emma HunterJay Baruchel, and much, much more. The shows from Tuesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 30 will be livestreamed at CanadianScreenAwards.ca, so be sure to tune in.

But the celebrations don’t stop there! On Friday, May 31, join comedian and host Mae Martin for The 2024 Canadian Screen AwardsThe one-hour broadcast, airing at 8:00 PM (9 AT, 9:30 NT) on CBC and CBC Gem, promises an innovative blend of unpredictable, emotional award-show moments and unprecedented access to nominees and Special Award winners, offering audiences a celebratory look at the best in Canadian film and television. Produced by creative forces Roma Ahi and Katie Lafferty of Makers, this year’s broadcast will continue to redefine the award show and shine a spotlight on the achievements of our homegrown talent, including this year’s slate of Special Award recipients such as Denis Villeneuve, and Tonya Williams. Be sure to tune in on Friday night to see who else joins the show!
