Sportsnet Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, Live on January 18 from Canmore, AB

Saturday, January 18 marks the 25th annual Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, live from Canmore, Alberta on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+. On the 25th anniversary of Canada’s biggest annual celebration of hockey, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada matchups, featuring all seven Canadian NHL teams, are available to stream for free in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Tagalog, Gujarati, and Spanish on sportsnet.ca/hockeyday, with Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition airing live on OMNI, and Hockey Night in Canada in Cree live on APTN.

The multi-lingual broadcast of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada supports Scotiabank’s commitment to make hockey more accessible and diverse by breaking down both cultural and financial barriers to the game through their hockey for all platform.

The 12.5-hour marathon Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada broadcast features all seven Canadian NHL teams in action throughout the day:

  • 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT – Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada pre-game on Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, and CBC.
  • 3 p.m. ET / Noon PT – Boston Bruins vs. Ottawa Senatorson Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, and CBC

Ron MacLean hosts Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada live from Canmore Golf and Curling Club and Canmore Rec Centre along with Sportsnet’s David Amber, Elliotte Friedman, Kyle Bukauskas, Kevin Bieksa, Jennifer Botterill, Kelly Hrudey and Evanka Osmak. Randip Janda, Taqdeer Thindal, and Gurp Sian also host Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition live from Canmore. Special guests include Calgary Flames alumni Lanny McDonald, Colin Patterson, Matt Stajan, Curtis Glencross, and Jay Bouwmeester as well as NHL alumni Andrew Ference.

Throughout the day-long celebration, Sportsnet will look back at the journey of Hockey Day in Canada with in-depth features as it crisscrossed the country visiting all provinces and territories for the past 25 years.
