Howard Stern Joins the Judging Table When America’s Got Talent Premieres May 14

Canada’s Got Talent season finale kicks off the night at a special time, 7pm local time

Leading the pack as Citytv’s top summer series for the past two years,  America’s Got Talent gears up to continue its hot streak with the two-hour, Season 7  premiere onMonday, May 14 at 8pm ET/PT on Citytv.

Hosted by fan favourite actor, producer and comedian Nick Cannon – the season premiere of America’s Got Talent follows the highly-anticipated season finale of Canada’s Got Talent at the special time, 7pm ET/PT on Citytv. To kick off the star-studded evening as Canada crowns its own top performer, the Canada’s Got Talent finale features a performance by beloved America’s Got Talent runner up, 12-year-old soprano Jackie Evancho. America’s Got Talent will air regularly on Mondays at 8pm ET/PT and Tuesdays at 9pm ET/PT, beginning May 14.

Last year’s Season 6 of American’s Got Talent averaged 1.5 million viewers (P2+), making it Citytv’s most-watch series of the summer for the second consecutive year.

While America’s most gripping performers from across the country get ready to show off their most-talented – or most unusual – skills, American radio personality, television host and best-selling author Howard Stern joins court on the AGT judging panel alongside Canadian comedian Howie Mandel and daytime TV host, reality star and music manager Sharon Osbourne.

Auditions for Season 7 were held in New York City, St. Louis, Washington, D.C., Tampa, FL, Anaheim, CA, Austin, TX , Charlotte, NC, and San Francisco.  Bringing a fresh take to the series, America’s Got Talent will be moving to the East Coast this season, broadcasting live two nights a week from New York beginning in July – allowing new judge Howard Stern to continue his hit radio program “Howard 100.”

From singers, dancers, comedians and contortionists to impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, Season 7 of America’s Got Talent has it all.  Watch the star-making and sometimes heart-breaking auditions as some of the most talented acts in the nation take the stage hoping to win America’s hearts – and the $1 million prize.

Fans can catch up on America’s Got Talent next day, post broadcast online at Citytv.com, and on the go with the Citytv app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Citytv programming is also available on Rogers On Demand and Rogers Any Place TV.

America’s Got Talent is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television. Simon Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Jason Raff, Ken Warwick and Georgie Hurford-Jones are executive producers.
