The Bachelorette Returns for a Seventh Romantic Season Monday, May 23, on Citytv

Ashley Hebert’s unwillingness to admit she was in love with Brad on season 15 of The Bachelor may have cost her the final rose, but now the bouncy brunette is ready to risk it all in order to find “the one.” This time she’s handing out the roses and with 25 suitors vying for her affections, she will have some big decisions to make. Watch as Ashley’s journey begins – with a shocking twist when the seventh edition of The Bachelorette premieres at a special time Monday, May 23, at 9pm ET/PT (8CT, 10MT) on Citytv (s/ABC). The Bachelorette will return to its regular time Monday, May 30 at 8pm ET/PT (7CT, 9MT).

The drama begins immediately on the season premiere episode when Chris Harrison discovers that Ashley already knows about one of the men, Bentley, before meeting him. A former Bachelor cast member warned her that Bentley might be there for the wrong reasons. A Wall Street banker, Ames, is right on the money when he offers Ashley a pair of tickets to the ballet. Ben F., a winemaker who knows his way around fine wines, pours a glass for Ashley from her own special vintage that he created. Meanwhile Jeff, a mysterious masked bachelor who wants to be known for more than his pretty face attempts to draw all of Ashley’s attention. When Bentley finally arrives, Ashley starts off being cynical, but is blown away by how attractive and charming he is.

Once inside, the competition between the men begins. Ben C., an attorney, makes his case by communicating a romantic message to Ashley from across the room on giant cue cards. From behind his mask, Jeff explains that he wants her to get to get to know the person he is on the inside. Then, Mike has a special song for the Bachelorette and starts to accompany himself on his guitar. Tensions mount and sparks fly as the bachelors vie for the first impression rose. Finally at the end of the night, Ashley will eliminate seven of the 25 men, leaving 18 to compete for her affections and, ultimately, her heart.
