King of the Highwire Nik Wallenda and his sister Lijana are set to return for a never-before-attempted 1,300-foot walk across New York City’s iconic Times Square. Bound to deliver edge-of-your-seat thrills, Highwire Live in Times Square with Nik Wallenda airs live Sunday, June 23 at 8 p.m. ET, on Citytv.
Nik and Lijana will start from opposite ends of the wire, meet and cross in the middle of Times Square, and continue to finish on opposite sides. Highwire Live in Times Square with Nik Wallenda marks Lijana’s return to highwire since falling 30 feet from a tightrope during a rehearsal. As a holder of 10 Guinness World Records, Nik’s accomplishments include highwire walks across Niagara Falls in 2012 and the Grand Canyon in 2013.
