Bell Media Leads Canadian Broadcasters With 30 Medals at the 2012 PromaxBDA Awards Competition

Bell Media, has once again been recognized as the leading Canadian media group at the 2012 PromaxBDA Awards held last night in Los Angeles. The Bell Media Agency was honoured with medals recognizing excellence in promotion and design, including 19 PromaxBDA Promotion and Marketing Awards and 11 PromaxBDA Design Awards. With an impressive combined total win of 30 medals, Bell Media leads the country with more medals than all other Canadian media groups combined, and is notably the only Canadian company to be recognized at a global level receiving five World Awards across multiple platforms.

PromaxBDA is the worldwide association of entertainment marketers, promoters, and designers, representing more than 500 television stations and all major broadcast and cable networks from the U.S., as well as more than 3,000 individual members in 70 countries. The association provides members with education, recognition and interaction through conferences, award competitions and publications as well as networking opportunities.

For the BDA Design portion of the awards, honouring the best in North American design, the Bell Media Agency captured three Gold Medals and six Bronze, as well as two World Bronze awards representing the best in international television design and promotion. For Promax North America, which represents Promotion and Marketing, Bell Media garnered seven Gold Medals, four Silver Medals and five Bronze Medals.  Bell Media also received two World Silver and one World Bronze award for World Promotion and Marketing.

 The Bell Media Agency was also announced as a finalist for the 2012 PromaxBDALocal Awards which will be presented on Thursday, June 28, 2012.
