CTV announced today that it has acquired two new series for its hot summer schedule, including the all-new reality game show HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT, premiering Thursday, July 11, and the murder mystery competition series WHODUNNIT?premiering Sunday, June 23. They join previously announced series SATISFACTION (June 24), SAVING HOPE (June 25), and THE AMAZING RACE CANADA (July 15), as well as THE LISTENER, MASTERCHEF, MISTRESSES, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, and encore broadcasts of MOTIVE on the network’s summer schedule.
From co-creators and producers Sean Hayes (WILL & GRACE, HOT IN CLEVELAND) and Todd Milliner (HOT IN CLEVELAND, GRIMM) comes the ultimate game night featuring all-star players, host Jane Lynch (GLEE), a rockin’ house band, and plenty of surprise guests. Every week on HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT, ordinary people and big-name celebrities including Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, Amy Poehler, and Martin Short, gather for the wildest party in town. Two teams comprised of celebrities and a civilian compete in a series of outrageous games for a chance to take home up to $25,000.HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT premieres Thursday, July 11, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
Premiering Sunday, June 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, WHODUNNIT?’s nine episodes follow thirteen amateur detectives, including a bounty hunter and a cheerleader. Created by Anthony E. Zuiker (CSI), WHODUNNIT? is hosted by British actor Gildart Jackson (GENERAL HOSPITAL), who plays “Butler Giles.” WHODUNNIT? is an interactive series that puts sleuths’ investigative skills to the test in a riveting mystery reality competition. Players will use a variety of crime scene investigation techniques to uncover evidence in a series of puzzling murders and ultimately reveal who among them is the killer. Failure to solve the week’s crime will lead to a player’s elimination, until only three are left. In the final episode, one player will unmask the killer and take home the $250,000 prize.
Episodes of HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT and WHODUNNIT? will be available across CTV’s digital platforms, including CTV.ca, the CTV App, the CTV Mobile channel on Bell Mobile TV, and through video on demand partners such as Bell Fibe TV following their respective broadcasts.
