CTV is the Exclusive Canadian Media Partner of 2010 Lilith Fair

CTV is proud to be the official and exclusive Canadian media partner of 2010 Lilith Tour this summer. For the first time in 11 years, the festival is touring again and ETALK is set to bring Canadians everything they need to know about the Tour. Talented female performers crossing genres and generations join Canadian songstress and founder Sarah McLachlan on the Canadian leg of the Tour. Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Chantal Kreviazuk, Lights, and others perform in Calgary (June 27), Edmonton (June 28), Vancouver (July 1), Montreal (July 23), and Toronto (July 24).

ETALK provides extensive, national coverage of the long awaited return of Lilith Fair. Beginning the week of June 21, ETALK airs segments at 7 p.m. ET on CTV (visit ctv.ca for local broadcast details) to prepare fans for Lilith Tour’s first Canadian dates since 1999. The show’s in-depth coverage concludes on July 26 with highlights from the Montreal stop at Centre Bell and the Toronto stop at the Molson Amphitheatre.

In every Canadian city, the ETALK team is on the ground bringing fans interviews with some of the biggest women in Canadian and international music from inside ETALK’s exclusive Lilith Tour Lounge. ETALK also has exclusive, backstage access to select US tour dates. Fans can also look for ETALK’s Lilith Tour updates during entertainment hits on CP24, CTV News, and CANADA AM.

MuchMusic, MTV, Bravo!, CTV.ca, CHUM FM and CTV News are also showing their support of Lilith Tour with editorial coverage.

www.lilith.ctv.ca is the online destination for information about Lilith Tour. As the Tour ramps up, the site is going to be updated with details about the concert dates, artists, and Lilith’s history and mission. Following the launch of Lilith Tour in Calgary, the site will be updated regularly with highlights, interviews, and photo galleries from each of the Canadian stops.

In support of 2010 Lilith Tour and to build awareness for its charitable initiatives across Canada, CTV is producing and airing a national 30-second Public Service Announcement. Lilith Tour is choosing a charity in each of the five Canadian cities to support during the festival. To date, Lilith Fair has raised over $10M for women’s charities across North America.

From 1997 through 1999, Lilith Fair was one of the highest grossing touring festivals in the world, with over 1.5 million fans in attendance and raising over $10 million dollars for national and local charities. Founded by Grammy-award winning artist Sarah McLachlan along with Dan Fraser, Marty Diamond and Terry McBride, Lilith Fair was the only tour of its kind—a celebration of women in music featuring artists like Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, The Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan and Sara and of course, Sarah McLachlan.
