CTV NEWS Takes Viewers Inside Every Moment of Historical Papal Conclave, Broadcasting from Vatican City Beginning Tomorrow

As the College of Cardinals heads into conclave tomorrow, CTV News is on the ground in Rome offering extensive coverage, and will be there LIVE when the white smoke announces a new pope has been elected. Beginning this morning at 6 a.m. ET with CANADA AM on CTV, followed by breaking news throughout the day on CTV News Channel, CP24, and CTVNews.ca, and all the way to CTV NATIONAL NEWS’ “Vote At The Vatican” coverage at 11 p.m. ET on CTV, viewers can turn to CTV News and its properties anytime for a first-hand glimpse of developments at the historic Sistine Chapel. The CTV News team is already on the ground in Rome to provide round-the-clock coverage coinciding with tomorrow’s start of conclave. Tonight, CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME broadcasts from Vatican City, featuring exclusive interviews and stories with the latest developments and preparations for the papal election. LaFlamme is joined in Rome by an augmented national reporting team including Todd Battis, Tom Kennedy, and Martin Seemungal, along with CTV News’ exclusive panel of Papal Commentators: Father Michael Bechard, Chaplain, King’s University College in London, ON; Solange Lefebvre, Chair of Religion, Culture and Society and Professor of Religious Studies, University of Montréal; and Gerard O’Connell, CTV Vatican Specialist and correspondent for Vatican Insider. And stationed in LaMotte, Québec is CTV’s Genevieve Beauchemain delivering special coverage from the hometown of Cardinal Marc Ouellet, in the line of prospective papal succession.

CTV NEWS CHANNEL’s Todd van der Heyden is also in Rome, with ongoing coverage and hourly updates, providing Canadians context and analysis of conclave on Canada’s premiere 24-hour all-news station.

CANADA AM features daily coverage of all the developments, live from Vatican City with the first eye on the Sistine Chapel chimney, and daily updates from CTV NATIONAL NEWS’ Lisa LaFlamme. And Toronto’s source for breaking news, CP24, is covering every aspect of the vote live from Rome, and what it means to Toronto.

For extensive online access to the latest papal news, CTVNews.ca/pope offers in-depth, interactive coverage of the historic selection of the next Pontiff, with insights and exclusive content straight from the CTV News team at The Vatican
