With the dust now settled on the first week of the Fall television season, a ratings review reveals that no matter how you look at it, CTV overwhelmingly wins Premiere Week with:
* #1 Show of the Week: THE BIG BANG THEORY premiered to 3.11 million viewers on its new day and time, a new Canadian record.
* 3 of the Top 4 New Shows of the Fall: BLUE BLOODS (2.126 million), THE DEFENDERS (1.915 million), $#*! MY DAD SAYS (1.485 million).
* Audience increases for key series: THE BIG BANG THEORY and CASTLE delivered series-high audiences, while DANCING WITH THE STARS had its most-watched premiere ever.
* Six out of seven nights: in primetime CTV delivered more viewers on six out of seven nights compared to the competition.*
* 86% of primetime timeslots: CTV wins 24 of the 28 primetime timeslots from 7-11 p.m., Monday-Sunday, in total viewers; 20 of 28 for A25-54; 21 of 28 for A18-49; and 23 of 28 for A18-34.*
* 78% more viewers in primetime: from 7-11 p.m. during premiere week, CTV delivered 78% more viewers than Global among total viewers, 145% more than CBC, and 304% more than Citytv. Against Global, CTV led by 49% among A25-54 and 51% among A18-49.
* Wins on every night, every timeslot: CTV’s diversified schedule exhibited its strength with timeslot wins throughout the week on every night and in every timeslot.
