CTV’s Monday Night Comedy Block Cracks the Code

CTV’s new Monday night comedy block delivered strong performances from 8-10 p.m. last night, with TWO AND A HALF MEN (2.3 million) winning the night overall including a timeslot win over the series premiere of THE CHICAGO CODE (Global/FOX, 1.5 million). Meanwhile, out of simulcast at 8 p.m., the series premiere of MR. SUNSHINE (1.4 million) provided strong competition for HOUSE (Global/FOX, 2 million).

Also to note:

* HOT IN CLEVELAND was hot again with 1.5 million viewers, also out of simulcast, at 8:30 p.m.
* At 9 p.m., TWO AND A HALF MEN was #1 with the key demos A18-49 and A25-54 nationally and in the key Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary markets (among non sports programming).
* From 9-10 p.m., TWO AND HALF MEN and MIKE AND MOLLY (2 million) delivered 38% more viewers than THE CHICAGO CODE (1.5 million).
* At 10 p.m. CTV’s CASTLE (1.8 million) wiped out HAWAII FIVE-0 (Global/CBS, 1.5 million viewers) in total viewers and all key adult demos.

CTV’s Monday night comedy block continues on Valentine’s Day with the debut of new comedy MAD LOVE at 8:30 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). HOT IN CLEVELAND moves to Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET beginning Feb. 24.
