Carl Worth, News Director of CTV Saskatchewan, announced today that Danelle Boivin is the new co-anchor of CTV Regina’s CTV NEWS AT SIX. Danelle steps into the anchor chair December 13.
“The CTV Regina News team is excited to welcome Danelle,” said Worth. “She is an exceptional news personality with a presence that is strongly connected to her audience and to community.”
“I am excited and honoured to become part of the #1 news team in the Queen City, and Saskatchewan overall,” said Boivin. “I look forward to joining Manfred at the anchor desk, and to sharing the stories that impact all of our lives in Southern Saskatchewan.”
Born and raised in Eaglesham, Alberta, Boivin is a graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Radio and Television Arts Program. In 2007, she served an internship with CTV in Lethbridge, Alberta. Later that year, Boivin accepted an anchor and reporter position with Newcap Television in Lloydminster. By 2008, she was the 6 p.m. News Anchor at Global Television in Lethbridge, and in 2010 she made the move to Saskatchewan, where she has been a reporter and anchor at Global TV, Saskatoon.
