It’s Time to Hunker Down on Homegrown Hilarity When Comedy Now! and Comedy Inc. Return June 12 on CTV

Saturday nights are brimming with home-spun laughs when two original comedies return to CTV with all-new seasons. Beginning Saturday, June 12, the 12th season of the star-making stand-up series Comedy Now! and fifth season of the multi-award winning sketch series Comedy Inc. air back-to-back on Saturday nights from 10 to 11 p.m. on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Both series air on The Comedy Network in the fall. Viewers can also catch the laughs on-demand at CTV.ca.

Comedy Now!

Canada’s reigning pre-eminent stage for homegrown comedic talent, Comedy Now! has helped an illustrious list of Canadian writer/performers earn their stripes in the comedy world. The list of luminaries includes the likes of Brent Butt, Roman Danylo, Nikki Payne, Shaun Majumder, Seán Cullen, Daryn Jones, Jay Malone, Jenn Robertson and stadium headliner Russell Peters. Comedy Now! returns with a brand-new lineup of burgeoning Canadian comics featuring Ian Bagg, Simon King, Darcy Michael, Kelly Taylor, Dana Alexander, Trent McClellan, Allyson Smith, Dylan Rhymer, J.P. Mass, Ivan Decker, Dave Hemstad, Debra Di Giovanni and Tyler Hawkins. The uncensored series premieres this fall on The Comedy Network.

COMEDY NOW! is produced by Hi Guys Twelve Productions Inc. in association with CTV and The Comedy Network, with the assistance of the Canadian Film and Video Tax Credits and the Ontario Film and Television Tax Credits and with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund created by the Government of Canada and the Canadian cable industry.

Comedy Inc.

Comedy Inc. returns for a fifth season of off-beat sketch comedy bursting with edgy political/social satire, hilarious parodies and uninhibited physical comedy. Three time winner of the prestigious Gold Medal Award for “Best TV Variety Program” at the New York Festivals, Comedy Inc. features an ensemble cast starring writer/comedian Roman Danylo, Jen Goodhue, Terry McGurrin, Jenn Robertson, Winston Spear, Gavin Stephens, Albert Howell, Ian Sirota, Sarah Cornell, Bob Kerr, Renée Percy and Leslie Seiler. Comedy Inc. also premieres this fall on The Comedy Network.
