Today CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced JUNO Award nominees The Sheepdogs as additional performers to rock the stage on CTV’s live broadcast ofTHE 2013 JUNO AWARDS. The Saskatchewan natives join previously announced performers Billy Talent, Carly Rae Jepsen, Marianas Trench, and hostMichael Bublé. The Sheepdogs are nominated in three categories at this year’s awards: Rock Album of the Year (sponsored by the Musicians’ Rights Organization Canada), Single of the Year, and Group of the Year.“We unfortunately had to miss the JUNOS last year because we were on the other side of the world in Australia,” recalls lead vocalist and guitarist Ewan Currie. “This year, we’re honoured to be invited to perform and thrilled that it’s only a two and a half hour drive down Highway 11.”

Hailing from Saskatoon, SK, three-time JUNO award-winning group The Sheepdogs have made a name for themselves with their hard work and determination, funding their first three albums and early tours entirely on their own. The following year, The Sheepdogs won three 2012 JUNO Awards: New Group of the Year, Single of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.
