THE BIG BANG THEORY Fans Can Win a Trip to Los Angeles By Entering ‘Big Bang Yourself’ Contest at CTV.ca

CTV is giving Canadian viewers a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles, California to meet the beautiful and brainy cast members of Canada’s most-watched television series, THE BIG BANG THEORY. Launching today at ctv.ca/bigbangyourself, CTV’s Big Bang Yourself contest allows fans to create their own personal “Bangatar” using wardrobe elements, accessories and set backgrounds from the hit show. Then, by sharing a unique URL of the Bangatar through e-mail or with online communities, and encouraging friends to link to the Bangatar, contestants can earn points and the chance to win the Grand Prize trip. The contest runs until January 5, 2011.

“I spent my whole life trying not to look like a nerd, but if CTV’s Big Bang fans want to go the other way – more power to them,” said THE BIG BANG THEORY Executive Producer, Bill Prady.

“We know from the incredible turnout in Toronto to THE BIG BANG THEORY: LIVE AT ETALK event last month that fans of this series are truly committed,” said Rick Lewchuk, Senior Vice-President, CTV Creative Agency and Brand Strategy. “This opportunity is yet another way to bring our viewers closer to THE BIG BANG THEORY experience.”

The more links to the site via personal URL, the more points each contestant gains. Whoever has achieved the most points wins a trip to Los Angeles to attend a taping of the show, a set tour, a signed script and the chance to meet the cast.* There are also random draws for weekly prize packs including Seasons 1-3 DVDs of the show, plus THE BIG BANG THEORY t-shirts.

Ways to earn points include:
· 100 points for registering, and another 100 for uploading an image.
· 1,000 points by getting friends to register, and 500 points for creating their own image.
· Finding hidden Easter eggs – several hidden throughout the site – for 500 points.
· Image views earn 100 points and ratings earn 10 extra points.

The Big Bang Yourself contest was developed and executed by the CTV Creative Agency and is open to Canadian viewers only.

THE BIG BANG THEORY is the most watched show in Canada,** with new episodes every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and on demand, on the CTV Video Player at watch.CTV.ca. Plus, episodes run every night on CTV at 7:30 p.m. ET and on The Comedy Network Monday-Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET.
