CTV Two Programming Highlights: March 20-31

CTV Two wraps up the month of March with the highly anticipated addition of new coaches Usher and Shakira on the Season 4 premiere of THE VOICE, and the season finale of WHITNEY. Plus, all-new episodes of THE NEIGHBORS, LAW & ORDER: SVU, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, FASHION STAR, RED WIDOW, CULT, DANCING WITH THE STARS, SMASH, NASHVILLE, and SHARK TANK.Programming highlights for March 20-31 include:

• Realizing that Elena (Nina Dobrev) needs some time away from Mystic Falls, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) takes her to New York City on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES(March 21) SPECIAL TIME
• New coaches Shakira and Usher join Blake Shelton and Adam Levine in their search to find the next singing sensation on the two-hour Season 4 premiere ofTHE VOICE (March 25)
• The tables are turned when Whitney (Whitney Cumming) offers a helping hand to her psychiatrist, Dr. Price (Chelsea Handler, CHELSEY LATELY), on the season finale of WHITNEY (March 27) SPECIAL TIME
• Television host Katie Couric guest stars as herself when Rayna (Connie Britton) appears on Katie’s talk show to set the record straight about her marriage onNASHVILLE (March 27)

Wednesday, March 20
8 p.m. – WHITNEY – “Crazy, Stupid, Words” – NEW EPISODE
A friendly competition ends on a sour note when Whitney (Whitney Cummings) goes one step too far by showing her backside to the group. Alex (Chris D’Elia) is angry at Whitney’s actions, but in order to show her he’s not uptight, he tries to take a compromising photo of himself but is embarrassingly interrupted by Roxanne (Rhea Seehorn).

8:30 p.m. – THE NEIGHBORS – “Mo Purses Mo Money Mo Problems” – NEW EPISODE
Debbie (Jami Gertz) is thrilled when a tough-minded businesswoman (Bethenny Frankel, BETHENNY) offers her a chance to revitalize her purse business.

9 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Undercover Blue” – NEW EPISODE
As Brian Cassidy (Dean Winters) prepares to testify, a woman comes forward claiming that he raped her while he was an undercover detective. A.D.A. Rafael Barba (Raul Esparza), Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay), and the SVU squad nervously await the outcome of the trial, concerned for Cassidy. When prosecutor Derek Strauss (Greg Germann, Here Comes the Boom) pushes hard for a win, Cassidy and his lawyer (Reg E. Cathey) use some surprising methods of defense, with shocking consequences for Detective Amaro (Danny Pino).

Thursday, March 21
8 p.m. – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – “Because the Night” – NEW EPISODE – SPECIAL TIME
Realizing that Elena (Nina Dobrev) needs some time away from Mystic Falls, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) takes her to New York City, where he lived and partied hard in the 1970s. When Rebekah (Claire Holt) also shows up in New York, she’s impressed with Elena’s secret agenda.

Friday, March 22
8 p.m. – FASHION STAR – “Something For Everyone” – NEW EPISODE
Celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos challenge the designer hopefuls to create a piece that will work well for all shapes and sizes, while still remaining true to their style and aesthetic. One contestant feels the pressure to sell this week after failing to receive a buy from the retailers last week, while one team thrills their celebrity mentor with an exceptional performance.

Saturday, March 23
8 p.m. – SANCTUARY – “Sanctuary For None Part One” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
Caleb (Gil Bellows), a notorious leader in Hollow Earth, asks for Helen Magnus’ (Amanda Tapping) help to build a new home for displaced insurgents on the surface.

9 p.m. – STARGATE UNIVERSE – “Deliverance” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
Locked in a battle with a Drone Command Ship, the Destiny is surprised by the arrival of the Aliens that abducted Rush (Robert Carlyle) and Chloe (Elyse Levesque).

Sunday, March 24
8 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – THE STEPFORD WIVES (2004)
In the film THE STEPFORD WIVES, Joanna Eberhart’s (Academy Award®-winner Nicole Kidman, Paper Boy) career crashes to the ground after she gets fired. Joanna and her husband (Golden Globe®-nominee Matthew Broderick, New Year’s Eve) then move to the peaceful suburban community of Stepford. Joanna finds that Stepford is too well-groomed for her taste, and is taken aback by the aggressively cheerful women of the community. Joanna befriends Bobbi Markowitz (Golden Globe®-winner Bette Midler, Parental Guidance), as the two take a close look at the women of Stepford, and discover a terrible secret lurking beneath.

10 p.m. – RED WIDOW – “The Recorder” – NEW EPISODE
Determined to help build a case against Schiller (Goran Visnjic), Marta (Radha Mitchell) agrees to wear a wire to a meeting with him. As she immerses herself deeper in Schiller’s business, she finds herself working with Alexandra De Costa (Branka Katic, Public Enemies), a stunning and influential woman with whom Schiller has a long history with.

Monday, March 25
8 p.m. – THE VOICE – SEASON PREMIERE – TWO HOURS
In the Season 4 premiere of THE VOICE, the blind auditions are held in front of a celebrity panel of coaches including Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and new members GRAMMY® Award-winners Shakira and Usher. The strongest vocalists from across the country compete to be selected by one of the coaches and fight for a chance to win the title of being named “The Voice.”

10 p.m. – MOTIVE – “Out of the Past” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
The execution-style murder of a news shop proprietor with high-level military training leads Detectives Flynn (Kristin Lehman) and Vega (Louis Ferreira) to a local gang who are terrorizing the community’s residents. Further investigation reveals that the news shop owner was stalking a respected paediatric doctor and her family, leading Angie to question the doctor’s credentials, and to a motive that lies in a secret past that has returned to haunt her.

Tuesday, March 26
8 p.m. – CULT – “The Kiss” – NEW EPISODE
Jeff (Matt Davis) receives news that one of Nate’s (James Pizzinato) friends might be planning a dangerous scheme at an upcoming “Cult” fan costume party. Then, Jeff and Skye (Jessica Lucas) decide to attend the party dressed as Billy (Robert Knepper) and Kelly (Alona Tal).

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – RESULTS EPISODE – LIVE
The results are in as one of the dancing duos is voted off and eliminated from the competition.

10 p.m. – SMASH – “The Balls and Whistles” – NEW EPISODE
When Ivy (Megan Hilty) brings Sam (Leslie Odom, Jr.), back to town, Tom (Christian Borle) finds himself in an awkward situation. Then, Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) and Derek (Jack Davenport) clash over their vision for “Hit List,” while both Ana (Krysta Rodriguez) and Karen (Katharine McPhee) struggle to stand up for what they want.

Wednesday, March 27
8 p.m. – WHITNEY – “Alex, Meet Lily” – NEW EPISODE
Whitney (Whitney Cummings) begs Alex (Chris D’Elia) to hang out with Lily (Zoe Lister-Jones) because she is in need of a male friend. Alex reluctantly agrees, but ends up thoroughly enjoying Lily’s company.

8:30 p.m. – WHITNEY – “Cake, Cake, Cake” – SEASON FINALE – SPECIAL TIME
While on a walk through the park with Alex (Chris D’Elia), Whitney (Whitney Cummings) spots her psychiatrist, Dr. Price (Chelsea Handler, CHELSEY LATELY), ferociously eating a birthday cake by herself. Whitney sees this as a red flag and meets with Dr. Price to get to the bottom of her issues. Meanwhile, R.J. (Tone Bell) sets Mark (Dan O’Brien) up on a date, causing Roxanne (Rhea Seehorn) to admit her feelings for him.

9 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Legitimate Rape” – NEW EPISODE
A popular sports reporter (Lauren Cohan, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES) seeks out Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) to accuse a cameraman (David Marciano, HOMELAND) of rape and stalking. The SVU squad begins their preparations for a difficult trial when the victim learns she is pregnant as a result of the rape.

10 p.m. – NASHVILLE – “When You’re Tired of Breaking Other Hearts” – NEW EPISODE
Television host Katie Couric guest stars as herself when Rayna (Connie Britton) appears on Katie’s talk show to set the record straight about her marriage. Then, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) attempts to take her album launch into her own hands, but it backfires when she tweets out a surprise concert location.

Thursday, March 28
8 p.m. – THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – “American Gothic” – NEW EPISODE – SPECIAL TIME
Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) take off in search of Katherine (Nina Dobrev) and find themselves in a small town in Pennsylvania, where Elena has a surprising encounter with another old acquaintance, Elijah (Daniel Gillies).

Friday, March 29
8 p.m. – FASHION STAR – “It’s Getting Hot In Here” – NEW EPISODE
Celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos ask the designer hopefuls to create a summer-themed garment, and choose to create a look for a pool party, tropical vacation, or summer in the city. Contestants are thrown a curve ball and must work together in teams, which creates dramatic tension.

9 p.m. – SHARK TANK – NEW EPISODE
A pair of charismatic entrepreneurs from Los Angeles swim around offers for their device that prevents objects from slipping through what Mark Cuban calls the “carmuter triangle,” that gap between the car seat and center console. Then, a fresh-faced 18-year-old from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania attempts to sweet talk the Sharks into investing in her natural skincare line of sugar scrubs, an idea she came up with at the age of 11.

Saturday, March 30
8 p.m. – SANCTUARY – “Sanctuary For None Part Two” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
With the new Abnormal Homeland now openly under threat, Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) is forced into a corner, but she has a plan in mind that no one sees coming.

9 p.m. – STARGATE UNIVERSE – “Twin Destinies” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
Excitement spreads through the ship as Eli (David Blue) believes he’s found a way to dial Earth, only Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) has serious reservations about the plan and abandoning Destiny.

Sunday, March 31
7 p.m. – CTV TWO MOVIE – AT FIRST SIGHT (1999)
In the film AT FIRST SIGHT, Amy Benic (Academy Award®-winner Mira Sorvino, Trade of Innocents) meets blind masseur Virgil Adamson (Val Kilmer, The Fourth Dimension) and falls in love. As Amy learns that Virgil’s lifelong blindness may be curable through experimental surgery, she convinces him to undergo the operation. Virgil then learns vision may not quite be what he expected.

10 p.m. – RED WIDOW – “The Captive” – NEW EPISODE
When Natalie (Erin Moriarty) goes missing, a frantic Marta (Radha Mitchell) fears the worst, and against her family’s advice, turns to Schiller (Goran Visnjic) for help in finding her.
