CTV Two Programming Highlights: May 3-19

CTV Two kicks off the month of May with the Season 10 premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Plus season finales of AMERICAN IDOL, FASHION STAR, RED WIDOW, and NIKITA, along with all-new episodes of FAMILY TOOLS, THE VOICE, DANCING WITH THE STARS, GRIMM, DATELINE, GOLDEN BOY, NASHVILLE, LAW & ORDER: SVU, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, and SMASH,Programming highlights for May 3-19 include:

• Marta (Radha Mitchell) asks Andrei (Rade Serbedzija) and Luther (Luke Goss) to help her come up with a revenge plan to kill Schiller (Goran Visnjic) on the season finale of RED WIDOW (May 5)
• The winning designer is crowned, claiming the ultimate prize of seeing his or her collections in all three retailers; Macy’s, Saks, and Express, on the season finale ofFASHION STAR (May 10)
• The pursuit of “America’s Favourite Dancer” begins on the Season 10 premiere ofSO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (May 14)
• The winner of Season 12 is crowned during the live, two-hour finale ofAMERICAN IDOL (May 16)
• Nikita (Maggie Q) finds herself in a life-threatening situation where she must choose between saving Michael (Shane West) or saving herself on the season finale of NIKITA, airing in a special day and time (May 17)
• Tim McGraw spotlights the hottest country music of the summer and calls on his friends from all areas of the music world for ACM PRESENTS: TIM MCGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT (May 19)

Friday, May 3
8 p.m. – FASHION STAR – “Trending Now-And-Then” – NEW EPISODE
Celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos Contestants ask the designer hopefuls to reinvent a dated trend and transform it into a fresh and current look for this summer season.

Saturday, May 4
7 p.m. – SMASH – “The Producers” – NEW EPISODE – NEW DAY AND TIME
An off-the-rail Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) threatens “Hit List’s” future, as Karen (Katharine McPhee), Derek (Jack Davenport), Ana (Krysta Rodriguez), and Kyle (Andy Mientus) try to help him before something bad happens.

8 p.m. – SMASH – “The Phenomenon” – NEW EPISODE – NEW DAY AND TIME
An unexpected event bonds both “Bombshell” and “Hit List.”

Sunday, May 5
7 p.m. – NIKITA – “High-Value Target” – NEW EPISODE
With no support staff, few leads, and the clock ticking, Cyrus (Isaiah Mustafa) returns to do right. With his help, Nikita, Michael (Shane West), and Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) stage a daring operation at the tightly-secured G-20 economic summit to regain control of the box and everyone’s future.

10 p.m. – RED WIDOW – “The Hit” – NEW EPISODE – SEASON FINALE
Since Marta (Radha Mitchell) now believes Schiller (Goran Visnjic) murdered her husband, she asks Andrei (Rade Serbedzija) and Luther (Luke Goss) to help her come up with a revenge plan to kill him during the gun exchange.

Monday, May 6
8 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – NEW EPISODE – TWO HOURS – LIVE
The stars and their dancing partners hit the dance floor to compete for their chance to win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

10 p.m. – MOTIVE – “Brute Force” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
A famous boxer is found stabbed to death in his own gym, for Angie (Kristin Lehman) and Vega (Louis Ferreira), there’s no lack of suspects. Everyone seems to have a motive, but when Angie digs deeper she finds the victim’s paraplegic brother, a business partner in the gym all too eager to take over the family business.

Tuesday, May 7
8 p.m. – GOLDEN BOY – “Beast of Burden” – NEW EPISODE – SPECIAL TIME
When a high-end call girl is found dead, Clark (Theo James) learns that his archenemy, Deputy Mayor Holbrook (Eric Morris), was her last client. Meanwhile, Diaco (Dan Hedaya, ER) struggles with the decision to put his father in a nursing home.

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – RESULTS EPISODE – LIVE
The seventh dancing duo loses their shot at the Mirror Ball Trophy when they are eliminated from the competition.

10 p.m. – GRIMM – “Kiss of the Muse” – NEW EPISODE – NEW DAY AND TIME
Nick (David Giuntoli) discovers a muse-like Wesen (Nora Zehetner, HEROES) with the ability to influence those she gets close to – some with positive results, others with terrifying ones.

Wednesday, May 8
8 p.m. – THE VOICE – NEW EPISODE – SPECIAL DAY – LIVE
America’s vote puts through the top two artists from each team, and celebrity coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira, and Usher each save one competitor, leaving them to move on to the next phase of the competition.

9 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Poisoned Motive” – NEW EPISODE
Two surprise sniper attacks on the NYPD leave the SVU squad scrambling for answers. When the link between the shootings appears to be Detective Tutuola (Ice-T), he reconnects with his former narcotics partner (Yul Vazquez) in order to uncover a possible motive tied to their old cases.

10 p.m. – NASHVILLE – “Why Don’t You Love Me” – NEW EPISODE
Rayna (Connie Britton) and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) are both nominated for CMA Awards and Edgehill Records hosts a party in their honour. Meanwhile, Teddy (Eric Close) worries about his relationship with Maddie (Lennon Stella), and Juliette copes with new challenges.

Thursday, May 9
8 p.m. – AMERICAN IDOL – NEW EPISODE – LIVE
One more competitor is eliminated from the competition as the Top 2 finalists onAMERICAN IDOL are revealed.

9 p.m. – THE VAMPIRE DIARES – “The Walking Dead” – NEW EPISODE
Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) calls Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) to the hospital, where someone has been attacking patients. Still trying to force Katherine (Nina Dobrev) to help her, Bonnie (Kat Graham) refuses to give up on her plan to defeat Silas.

Friday, May 10
8 p.m. – FASHION STAR – “Finale” – SEASON FINALE
After weeks of challenges and designs, the final three designer hopefuls are tasked to create their own collection for each of the retailers. When eliminated designers return to assist their teammates, some are thrilled to receive help while others find the extra assistance more of a distraction. The winning designer is crowned and wins the ultimate prize of seeing his or her collections in all three retailers; Macy’s, Saks and Express.

8 p.m. – SMASH – “The Transfer” – NEW EPISODE – SPECIAL DAY AND TIME
With his sights set on a Tony®, Tom (Christian Borle) pulls out all the stops at a Houston and Levitt (Debra Messing and Christian Borle) tribute night. Meanwhile, Ivy (Megan Hilty) is afraid of damaging her reputation when Tom asks her to perform a risqué number. The cast of “Hit List” is rocked by a betrayal close to home.

Sunday, May 12
7 p.m. – NIKITA – “Invisible Hand” – NEW EPISODE
The remaining threat of Amanda (Melinda Clarke) looms large over the team, particularly since she’s now allied herself with mysterious new partners that furnish her with a terrifying new weapon.

Monday, May 13
8 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – NEW EPISODE – TWO HOURS – LIVE
The stars and their dancing partners hit the dance floor to compete for their chance to win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

10 p.m. – MOTIVE – “Ruthless” – NEW EPISODE TO CTV TWO
An executive assistant is found dead in a hotel room during a corporate retreat. In their search, Flynn (Kristin Lehman) and Vega (Louis Ferreira) come across a suspect who clearly had the means and opportunity. But, as far as the motive goes, Flynn’s stumped until she discovers an unexpected link between the killer and the victim.

Tuesday, May 14
8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – SEASON PREMIERE
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE returns for its historic 10th season showcasing America’s talented dancers during the audition rounds.

9 p.m. – DANCING WITH THE STARS – RESULTS EPISODE – LIVE
The eighth dancing duo is voted off and eliminated from the competition.

Wednesday, May 15
8:30 p.m. – FAMILY TOOLS – “Beachwood Approved” – NEW EPISODE
When Jack (Kyle Bornheimer) lands a big job in the affluent Beachwood neighbourhood, Tony (J.K. Simmons) second guesses Jack’s decisions and can’t stop interfering.

9 p.m. – LAW & ORDER: SVU – “Brief Interlude” – NEW EPISODE
Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Amaro (Danny Pino) are called to the scene when an unconscious woman with signs of physical trauma is found in a river near the Mayor’s home.

10 p.m. – NASHVILLE – “A Picture from Life’s Other Side” – NEW EPISODE
Rayna (Connie Britton) finds an unlikely ally in Lamar (Powers Boothe) when he sides with her against Teddy (Eric Close). Meanwhile, Jolene (Sylvia Jeffries) sees Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) struggling and tries to find a way to help.

Thursday, May 16
8 p.m. – AMERICAN IDOL – SEASON FINALE – TWO HOURS – LIVE
During the two-hour live season finale, the Top 10 reunite on stage one last time before host Ryan Seacrest reveals the Season 12 winner of AMERICAN IDOL.

Friday, May 17
8 p.m. – NIKITA – “Til Death Do Us Part” – SEASON FINALE – SPECIAL DAY AND TIME
Amanda (Melinda Clarke) forces Nikita (Maggie Q) into a life-threatening situation where she must choose between saving Michael (Shane West) or saving herself. The team races to find a way to stop Amanda, but with a diminished Division, they might finally be out-gunned.

9 p.m. – ACM PRESENTS: TIM MCGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT – TWO HOURS
This special event features star-studded performances and musical collaborations during a two-hour concert that took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to benefit ACM Lifting Lives. Fifteen-time ACM Award winner Tim McGraw spotlights the hottest music of the summer and calls on his friends to help kick off the 2013 touring season. Performers include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, and Lady Antebellum.
