Tuesday was an epic night for Global with more Canadians tuning in to its primetime lineup than any other network. The channel was the most-watched network of the night (2+ national) with the blockbuster return of the NCIS super-franchise and the steamy season two premiere of Chicago Fire.
Canadians clamoured for the return of NCIS and NCIS: LA; numbers for last night’s season premieres were on par with 2012 with over 2.5 million viewers tuning in to NCIS and 2.2 million for NCIS: LA. The franchise took the #2 and #3 spots, respectively (2+, national).
DATA HIGHLIGHTS
- Global wins the night, beating CTV by 7% and more than tripling City (2+, National)
- NCIS: LA easily won its timeslot, beating The Voice by 152% (2+, National) as well as beating Trophy Wife and The Goldbergs by 82% (2+, National)
- Chicago Fire smoked the series premiere of Lucky Seven by 210% (2+, national) and104% (A18-49)
Premiere week continues tonight with the series premiere of The Michael J. Fox Show at 9pm ET/PT, only on Global.
