Fall premiere week is off to the races and Global dominated Monday night. The highly anticipated return of House set the pace as legions of dedicated fans flocked to the new season premiere, pulling in an audience of 2.7 million, making it the #1 show of the night nationally. Plus, a strong performance from the re-booted Hawaii Five-0 threw cold water on the competition as the hot action series drew 2.1 million viewers (2+, national) for its premiere episode to claim the title of the #1 new show to date.
Preceding the fall premieres was the highly anticipated launch of Global National’s new anchor, Dawna Friesen. 1.1 million Canadians (2+, national) welcomed her into their homes for the broadcast debut – building upon last year’s full season average by 11%.
