Global announced today that it will again provide Canadian golf fans with comprehensive tee-to-tee coverage during the final two rounds of the 2011 Masters Tournament. Global’s Masters broadcast will take place Saturday, April 9th from 2:30pm until 7:00pm ET and Sunday, April 10 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm ET (see below for additional airtimes). Plus this year Global will add to its already extensive coverage with its first-ever live, pre-game special from the grounds of this storied golf course.
Dubbed Live From Augusta, the hour-long show will take place immediately prior to Global’s broadcast of the final two rounds of The Masters. Drawing upon their combined sports experience and their own love of the game, Global Calgary’s Kevin Smith and Global Toronto’s Rob Leth will provide viewers with an in-depth perspective on The Masters including exclusive content, up to the minute details and expert analysis.
The Masters is one of only four major annual tournaments in professional golf. First played in 1934, it has a long-running history as one of the most prestigious competitions in the sport. Among the prizes awarded, the winner is presented with a green jacket, which signifies the golfer’s entry into the exclusive group of Masters champions.
Global Television is a Shaw Media network.
