The Shift with Shane Hewitt Launches on Global News Radio Network Sunday, November 29

The Shift with Shane Hewitt is talk radio done differently. Officially launching on Global News Radio stations across Canada on November 29, the show is made for the Canadian community of night owls and early risers. Host Shane Hewitt looks at the news of the day under a new light, revealing what’s really happening behind the scenes and the impact on our lives. The Shift shares stories you’ve never heard before, creating bright and lively conversation in the darkest hours of the night, right across Canada.

Listeners can tune-in at the following stations and times:

The Shift with Shane Hewitt can also be heard on Radio NL in Kamloops from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. PT on weeknights.

“The culture of live, late-night radio is unique, unifying, and unpredictable,” said Larry Gifford, National Director, Talk Radio, Corus Entertainment. “I am excited to hear the Canadian conversations and stories shared with Shane as he becomes part of the late-night experience in cities and towns across the country.”

Shane Hewitt has spent more than 25 years hosting radio and connecting with Canadians. His career has taken him across the country from Calgary to Sudbury, Brockville to St. Catharines and back to Calgary again. Before that, he grew up in Port Alberni, B.C., and Fort McMurray. Shane is a dad and an entrepreneur with a love of conversation and thoughtful exchange of ideas – it is this perspective that he brings to The Shift every night.

A staple for audiences since January 2018, The Shift is a distinctly Canadian program with a loyal and growing audience that tunes in for candid, thought-provoking and news-worthy stories from across the country. Created by Corus Entertainment, the show continues to be the go-to source for late-night banter and lively conversations for Canadians.

The weekend edition of the show, The Shift with Jawn Jang airs from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. EST on Saturdays. Jang began his radio career in large and small markets on FM radio before debuting on AM radio as a sports talk host in 2017. In addition to hosting The Weekend Shift, he is a regular contributor on-air at 980 CKNW in Vancouver. Jang was born in Seoul, South Korea, but immigrated to Canada in 1994. Listeners can expect two things when they tune in: the show is always inclusive and always proudly Canadian.
