In addition to previously announced special Polish language memorial programming, OMNI Television will carry LIVE commercial-free coverage of the Polish state funeral planned for President Lech Kaczynski and the first lady, this Sunday, April 18th.
LIVE coverage of funeral ceremonies will run for two hours, throughout the OMNI Television network as follows:
OMNI.1 and OMNI Alberta — OMNI Calgary (CJCO-TV) and OMNI Edmonton (CJEO-TV) – will also broadcast 60 commercial-free minutes of highlights from the Polish state funeral later in the day: on OMNI.1 at 7:00 p.m. ET (encore presentation, Friday, April 23rd at 1:00 p.m. ET) and on OMNI AB at 7:00 p.m. MT.
8AM – 10AM ET on OMNI.1 (CFMT-TV)
6AM – 8AM MT on OMNI Calgary (CJCO-TV) and OMNI Edmonton (CJEO-TV)

On 10 April 2010, President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria Kaczyńska perished when a Polish Air Force Tupolev Tu-154M crashed while attempting to land at Smolensk-North airport in Russia. There were no survivors on the plane, which was carrying senior Polish government officials on a trip to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre.
