ESPN Classic gives fans a look back at some of the best Grey Cup rivalries in CFL history with GREY CUP WEEK 2010 beginning Monday, Nov. 22, as the network gears up for the 98th GREY CUP from Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. In total, ESPN Classic’s eight-game schedule during GREY CUP WEEK 2010 has more than 16 hours of vintage Grey Cup games showcasing some of Canada’s biggest football stars and most memorable triumphs and disappointments from the gridiron.
Highlights include TSN’s first Grey Cup broadcast, as the Montreal Alouettes took on the Calgary Stampeders in 2008, airing Friday, Nov. 26, at 9 p.m. ET. Other vintage match-ups include the epic 1996 championship game from a snowy Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton with the Toronto Argonauts battling the Edmonton Eskimos as well as a double-overtime finish during the 2005 GREY CUP on Thursday, Nov. 25, at 9 p.m. ET.
In addition to its GREY CUP WEEK 2010, ESPN Classic will be on location in Edmonton next week joining the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum’s exhibit at the Scotiabank CFL Experience. ESPN Classic will showcase classic CFL games at the popular exhibit featuring current and future Hall of Fame players.
The Scotiabank CFL Experience runs from Wednesday, Nov. 24 to Sunday, Nov. 28 at Sir Winston Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton.
