Hollywood Suite Announces World Television Premiere Of The Corruption Of Divine Providence

Hollywood Suite is pleased to announce the world television premiere of writer-director Jeremy Torrie’s gripping award-winning feature The Corruption of Divine Providence (2020) on November 4 at 9pm ET on Hollywood Suite. The supernatural thriller, which follows the chilling story of a teenage girl who becomes a battleground for good and evil, stars Elyse Levesque (Ready or Not), Ali Skovbye (Firefly Lane), Tantoo Cardinal (Fall Around Her), David La Haye (Bad Blood), Corey Sevier (Immortals), Eugene Brave Rock (Wonder Woman) and Paul Amos (Assassin’s Creed). The Corruption of Divine Providence will be available on On Demand starting November 1.

Set in western Manitoba, The Corruption of Divine Providence explores what happens when a messenger from God tests the character of humanity. When a sixteen year old stigmatic Métis girl is kidnapped from a small French Canadian town where division and discontent lurk beneath the surface, different religious factions vie for control over her upon her eventual return.

“I’m ecstatic to see Hollywood Suite premiere The Corruption of Divine Providence to all Canadians. They’ve been an incredible supporter of my maturation as a filmmaker and Indigenous cinema as a whole,” added Jeremy Torrie (Waabishki Makwa).

“We are proud to support Indigenous storytellers at Hollywood Suite and look forward to sharing Jeremy’s thought-provoking film and compelling perspective with our audience,” said Sharon Stevens,VP Programming Hollywood Suite.

An Ojibway from Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation, Jeremy Torrie has firmly established himself as a multi-award winning writer, director and producer whose stylistic vision is complemented by his pursuit of intriguing stories of a spiritual nature for mainstream audiences. Nominated for multiple awards on the international film festival circuit, including the Nice International Film Festival, the Whistler Film Festival, and the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, The Corruption of Divine Providence won Best International Narrative Feature at the Garden State Film Festival, and stars Ali Skovbye and Elyse Levesque were selected as “Stars to Watch” at the 2020 Whistler International Film Festival.
