“Oftentimes society looks down on younger generations, but we believe that each generation has wisdom to offer and this group of teens proved that over and over again,” stated What About Our Future? directors Gianopoulos and Cruz. “This film was our opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the emotional journey and vision of a generation who is inheriting a world on fire.”
“The most inspiring thing about these young activists is their belief in real change,” said Sharon Stevens, Vice President, Programming for Hollywood Suite. “Their strength and determination show us that another world is possible, and we are honoured to share this film with our audience.”
March also saw the launch of The Impact Series, a series of socially-conscious documentaries. Other March highlights include the previously announced launch of World Cinema Wednesdays, an ongoing initative highlighting great films from across the globe, and a Women in Film collection.
