Italian Crime Sensation GOMORRAH Hits Hollywood Suite This December

Hollywood Suite is excited to announce it is the exclusive English Canadian home for the HBO Max/Sky Italia hit Italian crime series Gomorrah. Seasons 1-3 will premiere On Demand December 1 with 36 episodes, followed by the Gomorrah feature film The Immortal and seasons 4 and 5 in the new year.

Based on Roberto Saviano’s bestselling book, the gritty Naples-set crime drama paints a portrait of the brutal Neapolitan crime organisation the Camorra. More popular than Game of Thrones in its native Italy, the award-winning series set a new standard for Italian television following its debut in 2014, and has gone on to receive widespread acclaim from both viewers and critics alike. To date, the series has been shown in over 190 territories worldwide, with The New York Times rating it in the top five of the top 30 international shows of the past decade.

“The success of series such as Squid Game and Money Heist have demonstrated an appetite for bingeable programming from across the globe,” said Sharon Stevens, VP Programming, Hollywood Suite. “We are excited to bring Gomorrah to audiences and further drive the introduction of top-tier international product into the Canadian marketplace.”

Gomorrah is the best example for European high-end drama, which is very specific and at the same time easily crosses international borders,” said Jeffrey Engelen, International Sales Manager North America for Beta Film. “Over the course of five seasons and a feature film, Gomorrah set the standard for storytelling made in Europe. Together with Hollywood Suite, we are pleased to present the show to the Canadian audience and very much hope that the viewers love the show as much as the public in many countries does.”

Gomorrah will have its Canadian broadcast premiere of Seasons 1-3 beginning December 6 on Hollywood Suite with new episodes airing weekly on Mondays at 9pm ET. Seasons 4 and 5 will come to Hollywood Suite in early 2022, along with the feature film The Immortal and documentary special The Gomorrah Files.

The Sky Original series Gomorrah is produced by ITV Studios’ Cattleya (ZeroZeroZero, Suburra, Summertime) in collaboration with Beta Film. The series is executive produced by Cattleya’s Riccardo Tozzi, Gina Gardini, Giovanni Stabilini and Marco Chimenz as well as by Nils Hartman and Sonia Rovai for Sky and developed by Stefano Bises, Leonardo Fasoli and Roberto Saviano.
