British Chef Jamie Oliver steps up in uncertain times to guide viewers through two weeks of meal prep and beyond with the new cooking series, JAMIE: KEEP COOKING AND CARRY ON, airing weeknights at 5 p.m. ET, beginning Monday, April 6, on CTV Life Channel.
“Known for his practical approach to cooking, we’re thrilled to deliver a new series from superstar chef Jamie Oliver to help solve the kitchen conundrums viewers may be facing in these challenging times,” said Pat DiVittorio, Vice-President, Programming, CTV and Specialty. “Airing daily, we’ve decided to add JAMIE: KEEP COOKING AND CARRY ON to the CTV Life schedule so we can deliver the series to as many Canadians as we can while giving viewers a week’s work of meal ideas as they continue to do their part by staying home.”
In this innovative 10-part series that was quickly conceptualized and produced in response to COVID-19, each half-hour episode features Jamie Oliver sharing some incredible recipes that make the most of everyday kitchen staples. With ingenious ideas on how to utilize pantry purchases and forgotten frozen food, Oliver offers viewers new ideas on what to cook with the simple ingredients they have on hand and what to swap out if something’s missing.
For those feeling ambitious, Oliver also shows viewers just how easy it is to make simple bread dough and pasta from scratch. Each episode features two delicious, simple, healthy and hearty recipes. Recipes from each episode will be made available on The Loop’s recipe hub.
In the first episode (Monday, April 6 at 5 p.m. ET), Jamie Oliver shares incredible recipes, tips, and hacks, specifically tailored for the unique times we’re living in, including a vegetarian chilli and pasta with three easy sauces.
Back-to-back episodes of JAMIE: KEEP COOKING AND CARRY ON are set to air Fridays at 9 and 9:30 p.m.ET beginning April 10, on CTV Life Channel.
